Summary: First time I've written a review but feel buyers need to beware that whilst a good device this satnav is much slower than older ones and when it eventually comes up with the "no maps found" error then chuck it in the bin.
Summary: Was meant to come with a free subscription to tom tom live. I uploaded the subscription and it has never worked. Maps are very old and can cause delays which can be a nightmare and new maps won't upload. For basic use its ok and maybe I just got a crap refurb but it's not what I was expecting.
A massive let down why did i agree to having it as a gift ??

Summary: This Item was faulty and had to be attended as it would switch off it's self .This was within two day's of it being purchased for me. It was purchased with a 12 month map update package.Allthough I have connected it up and run "My tom tom" on my Vista laptop on a regular basis.
TomTom XL LIVE IQ Routes Edition Europe Satellite Navigation System

Summary: Purchased in December 2009 for £203, it has served us well, I replaced it today with the Tom Tom Go Live 1005 which came with the Free Lifetime Map updates for £200 especially as the Live services and Map udates were due for renewal at a cost of £90 from Tom Tom.
Summary: Bought this to replace an ageing TomTom One, as I had a few journeys planned both at home and in Spain. This one fitted the bill perfectly. It worked straight out of the box, came at least part charged, plugged it into My TomTom for any updates and it was ready to go.
Summary: I owned a Tom Tom go which died and decided to go for this thinking it was about time and the technology would have really moved on. I would consider myself a fan of Tom Tom after trying some Garmin products in hire cars a few years ago and finding Tom Tom just much simpler.
