Misleading ebay listing caused major inconvenience and expense
1 November 2014
Summary: We ordered the GPS because it was listed as having maps of the USA/Canada/Europe. We planned to take the GPS to use driving in Germany and Austria and we wanted an English language GPS. Right before we left on our trip, we discovered that the GPS had maps of some European countries, but not Germany and Austria. Because of the misleading ebay listing, we ended up with a great deal of expense to rent a German language GPS.
Summary: My TomTom was stolen from my car due to a break in, I cannot live without my TomTom! TomToms are the easiest GPS system to operate. When I travel to areas I am not familiar with I plug in the address and it lets me know how many miles and estimated time of arrival. Never again do I want to be without my TomTom so I bought an extra one (I now have 2) just to make sure!
Summary: Tom Tom number 2 for me. I really liked the old one but it finally bit the dust. This new model is great for the price. Contrary to another review that I read, you can enter the destination information into this unit. You just have to be smarter than the unit itself. 2D and 3D options are great, it will get you to where you want to go. Just don't drive off a cliff getting there. Pay attention and this Tom Tom will do the job.
Summary: I bought the tom tom for my son in law. He is a service plumber who works in a very rural area. He uses it to help him get to his jobs. It helps to routehim to several different jobs and saves him oth time and gas.
Summary: I have had cheap versions of GPS. They by far are better! The only way this is any use to you is if you have the actual address of the place you wish to go. There is no option to type the name of your destination into this unit. Even if you have the actual address of the place there is no sure fire way that it will except it anyway. Sorry but I think that you are better off with the Wal-Mart knock off!
