Summary: Got this GPS last summer of 2013 for my girlfriend. Since it was on sale from best buy for almost half of the price, I decided to purchased it and hope it can be useful for my winter vacation. On the week before my vacation, I took it out and tried to install the map and get everything set up. At first, everything flow smoothly, then right after 1 hour of installing the map, the screen freeze, and black out.
Summary: I was difficult to download the updates. As another purchaser noted, all of the data disappeared and I had to reinstall all of the information. It took a long time but the tech support was very helpful with instructions on how to rectify the problem.
Summary: I bought this unit for my 85 year old dad. It is easy for him to use. Because it is a used unit it DOES NOT have Lifetime Maps. Maybe the original owner had Lifetime Maps but, if we want to update the maps it is going to cost us extra. Lifetime Maps should not have been in the description.
Not bad. I'd actually give it 3.5 stars if Amazon would let me.

Summary: I picked it up for only $50.00 used. Definitely update the software immediately when you get it. I had a lot a of issues with the typing on the screen, but the software update took care of that. It works good for a unit of this price and age (the copyright was 2007, but it could have been made after).
Summary: Just upgraded to this. The VERY AMAZING NEW FEATURE is the LIVE which will tell you of impending problems and solve them for you AS YOU DRIVE ........... WITHOUT ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES!!!!. Saved me INCREDIBLE problem on a recent trip!! The LIFETIME MAPS are also a great bargain at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE as roads keep changing! BUY IT (or any model with the M and LIVE in the name!!!!
Summary: I live in a less populated area and this model has a lot of whistles and bells that I will probably never use. Live traffic info is not something I need. Thank God. I Bought this because I had a TomTom in the past and I was accustomed/satisfied with it. Like many other 'gadgets', you tend to have a bias (rightly or wrongly) to pick a brand that you know. So far it has done what I need . It gets me from point A to point B with sufficient navigation detail.
Summary: Mounting the unit was biggest problem. The suction cup kept coming loose allowing the unit to fall off the dashboard constantly. You need to put moisture on the cup to make it hold. You have to squeeze the on button while holding bottom of unit or it may break loose from the mounting ring. Plug for cord on unit is somewhat difficult to insert. The lifetime maps make upgrading easy although it may take over an hour to do on your computer.
