Summary: It is an A++++ device! The display is crystal clear. All the features on the TOMTOM are incredible. The unit is extremely user friendly. Most of all, the overall value of this GPS is unbeleivable!!!!!
Summary: I bough the Tom Tom One XL340 Automotive GPS for my daughter in NJ. I did not dislike the Tom Tom one She loves it.I do not know how the Tom Tom one compare to others product I only have had the Tom Tom one XL340.
Summary: Overall a great gps I've had no problems yet.I also have a Garmin and I actually use the TomTom more. BUT the only disappointment is the junction view only works in the U.S.I haven't seen it work in Canada yet and I've been through a couple junctions. Overall easy to use traffic option is accurate but I didn't notice a quick reroute button like Garmin but I'm happy with it.
Summary: These units are very simple to use, store alot of information and are a great tool for the road.Liked it so much I have one in both of our cars even though they are simple to move from one car to another.
Summary: I had my daughter go on Amazon for her Christmas present because I had no idea what kind of features she wanted on her GPS. We looked at other GPS systems and the price of them. This one was priced at a price I could afford. She is happy with it and I have even used it. I recommend this manufacture for someone that has a young adult in the house.
Summary: The XL 340 is the oldest device from the XL 340 series. The difference between the XL 340 and the current models (XL 340*S, XL 340*M, XL 340*T and XL 340*TM) are: - The newer models have Text-To-Speech, so they will speak street names aloud. Both devices feature spoken directions though. - The newer models are optionally available with subscriptions to map- or traffic data updates (that's what the T and M in the model names are for).
Summary: Overall, this is a very user-friendly piece of equipment. What was a little confusing about the installation of TomTom Home was that the user manual suggested downloading the program first onto the computer without connecting the device. I did that, but when I connected the device, TomTom automatically started downloading the Home program again. Basically took up extra space on my hard drive.
