Summary: i have two vehicles and it was real hassle to move one gps from one to the other.the advance lane guidance is a real help on interstate roads its not as easy to program as easy as the older ones.it has more features than the older ones,is worth buying as a second GPS or replacement.
Summary: I gone this for my daughter for her job..she like it but she said it need a little update of the map. It did not have dvd that come with a update so that she could update online. But she really like it.It need a home plug because it did come with it. It said that it had this but I did get it and the dvd to update it. It was used and I knew this.
Summary: I ordered this device and actually received the XL 340S edition that doesn't include the lifetime maps and traffic updates. I received a valid code to use for the updates but when I tried to redeem it, I was given the error message saying that it wasn't valid with my device. I searched the serial number on the TomTom support website and it came up that I had a totally different device than the one I ordered.
Summary: We had a horrible experience with this product. Spent several hours syncing it to our computer, all seemed to be working fine, and then brought it to D.C. for a trip. The GPS was never able to "find a working satellite" and would shut off after 60 seconds. We wound up driving 20 minutes in the wrong direction from Dulles thanks to the malfunction. Took it home, synced it again, and still had the same results. We were very disappointed. [...
Summary: Tom Tom is very easy to use. In my opinion it is one of the most user friendly devices I have ever used. Extremely reliable and helpful when I go anyplace, that I am not sure where I am going. I highly recommend this product.
Voice Commands Are Excellent, Allow You to Keep Eyes on Road

Summary: This Tom Tom is an improvement over earlier models, particularly in the area of voice commands. The voice commands in this model are much more specific--this is a big help when driving on city freeways. For example, instead of merely stating "turn right," the newer model says "turn right on Spring Street, exit 200." Obviously, this feature allows the driver to cross-reference interstate road signs without having to look down or away to read the device.
Summary: After using a GPS to get around while living abroad, we got hooked on them! When we came back, we decided to get a mid-range GPS with some of the extra bells and whistles. Most notably, we wanted the over-the-air traffic updates. Overall we've been pretty happy with this GPS. Instructions are clear, reception is reasonably good, though like many in-car GPS's, not so great in heavily forested areas or downtown in urban centers with tall buildings.
