Summary: Yes this Satnav will get you to your destination, but am I the only person to find the IQ routes system a royal pain. It seems that there are only two options for road choices, Motorways or back roads. I dont like to ride on motorways, but neither do I want to travel twice as far as I need to because the IQ system reckons a single track farm road is quieter and prettier. Why no option for fastest non motorway route?
Summary: This is a very nice piece of kit! The day/ night screens are a great idea and the screen directions are clear enough that when your Bluetooth headset dies (like mine did - not supplied with this product) you can easily manage without!
Summary: I had a bike Tomtom for many years which packed in recently. My gripe is that Amazon don't list this item well enough. It did not state what was included in the box. As far as I can tell the cradle supplied is no use for long journeys as there is nowhere to connect to the bike's auxiliary socket and the instructions are about as much use as a chocolate fire guard!
Summary: Very good, works well and easy to use, well pleased. I did get an Ultimate Addons kit to provide on bike charging but for ease of use I probably should have paid the extra for the TomTom kit although this is a bit pricey.
Summary: It is difficult to justify why this unit is so expensive for what you actually get. The cover for the adapter broke off in the first few days and I am pretty careful and not at all heavy handed. Why don't they supply the unit with an active charger, I mean come on this is expensive as it is, greed comes to mind just so they can squeeze yet more cash out of your pocket. The screen is oversensitive when inputting addresses, infuriatingly slow.
Summary: Well first the good, in the UK and in Europe it has worked fine for me paired to a Midland bt2 head set. So all good then? No, no, not by a long way. Which, coincidentally Switzerland, Austria, Italy and San Marino are from my home and my computer. Unfortunately Tomtom have given this sat nav a small memory, and split Europe into map zones (no SD card slot, that would be to easy) so if you want to have maps covering all the above, including the UK, you will need to change...
