Summary: This product instead of being an improvement is a backward step for Tom Tom. It is NOT as good as the Sat Nav I replaced (GO 520) and the new software enabling internet access is pathetic compared with previous Home 2.
Summary: Had real trouble down loading the maps from my laptop, it actually messed up my laptop, it took me days to get it working probably again. Had to phone TomTom help line-and they were fantastic but we still couldn't resolve the problem. Had to send the TomTom back.
Summary: I can't fault TomTom as a brand in its navigation. My less than full mark is due to its design. Cons: I initially thought the bigger screen would be a bonus but on smaller cars it is obtrusive and obstructs vision. The fitting of suction plate is fiddly for a woman's hands let alone a mans. There is little space to turn the base to tighten. So too is connecting the power lead if you find your battery low after fixing to screen.
Summary: Bought this for a holiday in Spain to replace a satnav with much smaller screen that had let me down in the past. Although the Start 60 has a really clear screen and is very easy to set up it disappointed me at exactly the times it was most needed. When entering built up areas, like city centres, it consistently lost GPS signal.
Summary: Nice Sat Nav, fairly accurate and big screen makes finding way around easy. Only downsides are that the unit is very slow, they need to get a bigger processor or something. I think TomTom should do individual maps i.e. just UK as I think having the whole of Europe on is a bit of a pain and most likely why the unit is so slow.
Summary: Although this is advertised as for the START 60 it doesn't really do the job. With the arm & suction cup folded flat the case doesn't take the START 60 without the adapter pressing hard against the screen. It needs to be deeper. I wouldn't recommend this case - look for something else. If you want to store a traffic update lead / adapter then definitely look for something else - that combination just doesn't work at all.
Summary: I bought this Tomtom a week ago and downloaded all of the updates without too much hassle from the website. I then started to use it. It is fairly simple to use and the display is clear with the right amount of information such as speed distance and time to destination. The directions are clearly displayed and the voice is clear.
TomTom Start 60 does not support favourites properly

Summary: This is a great looking device - Love it! And except for a few things it works well too. But the "few things" are a killer. It will not store any Favourites, nor will it store any user Points of Interest. (I can enter them, it says they are saved, but nothing shows up in the favourites list). This has been a problem since I first received the device.
