Excerpt: I've said yes I would recommend this product because TomTom is the best quality sat nav out there but ,why did they change the features from last years model!! It was far superior in every way.i hate the little icons everywhere on the map to show favourite destinations, also the side bar is too wide and therefore distracting .The previous version was much neater and visually more attractive.I tried everywhere to get one but TomTom seems to have updated all their...
Summary: The cable has the right type of connector for the Tomtom Live, which is good. But the charger caused my car radio to go haywire, so I couldn't use the radio and the Satnav together. The original TomTom one doesn't cause this problem so it must be the charger that is the problem. I've binned the charger and just kept the cable as that was all I really needed anyway, to replace the original Tomtom one which was broken.
Summary: i cant really comment on its functions as when i fixed it to the mount in the car it fell onto the carpet and shatterd the screen, im currently looking for somewhere to get it fixed. i dont know if any one else has had this happen to them ?.im wondering if its down to size of screen?
Summary: The TomTom wouldn't do the free update online despite trying several times. As a result, I was lead down several wrong turns. I bought it in September 2013 and 9 months later has stopped working altogether.
Summary: Had real trouble down loading the maps from my laptop, it actually messed up my laptop, it took me days to get it working probably again. Had to phone TomTom help line-and they were fantastic but we still couldn't resolve the problem. Had to send the TomTom back.
Summary: Expecting to buy something better than my tom tom GO700, decided to buy this one for a change and it isn't very accurate and it is very difficult to operate, much more complicate than my old GO700 and the worst it doesn't come with a remote control even if you buy it separately it isn't available so make it a good but not good, i am not impressed, good news is the screen is very clear it is enormous and it looks fantastic, but that's it, cable very modern and very useful...
Summary: I can't fault TomTom as a brand in its navigation. My less than full mark is due to its design. Cons: I initially thought the bigger screen would be a bonus but on smaller cars it is obtrusive and obstructs vision. The fitting of suction plate is fiddly for a woman's hands let alone a mans. There is little space to turn the base to tighten. So too is connecting the power lead if you find your battery low after fixing to screen.
Summary: Bought this for a holiday in Spain to replace a satnav with much smaller screen that had let me down in the past. Although the Start 60 has a really clear screen and is very easy to set up it disappointed me at exactly the times it was most needed. When entering built up areas, like city centres, it consistently lost GPS signal.
