Summary: bought to house my tomtom 25 and its cables but have to squeeze it all in and then try to zip up whilst holding it tight so i used my tomtom 20 case whilst the sat nav is smaller than the 25 it fits better
Summary: I was disappointed with the the case as my TomTom Start does not sit deep enough in the designated area. This is a well made item except that whoever designed it didn't allow for the windscreen attachment device which forms part of the SatNav. Because of the extra height i cannot fit the charging cables etc into the pocket provided. Could do with a redesign.
Great SatNav, but trying to update it is a NIGHTMARE and I've yet to succeed.

Summary: The appeal of buying this TomTom is the lifetime upgrades however trying to GET those upgrades is confusing, frustrating and leaves one totally baffled. This model comes with no instructions on upgrading the maps and the website is unhelpful. After several attempts to use the website to update this model and failing (because it just hangs when I try to log on) I thought maybe I need to use the MyHome software that I used with my previous more primitive model, but again,...
Machine excellent - website and updating a total frustration

Summary: TOmtom when working is terrific - but updating is a nightmare. 19 hours to update and, after, at last, a confirmation that it is DONE! and I can disconnect, I get in the car and the machine says NO MAPS FOUND! Back to the computer and start all over again? That's what it says - and I suppose I, I would if I could only follow the instructions. Looks like putting it in the bin and buying Garmin.
Summary: Works well as an in car Sat Nav, but we have not been able to get our lifetime free mapps working and new voices downloaded. Still working on trying to fix what should have be a simply thing to put in place.
Summary: Tried the sat nav out on a few local journeys just to make sure it worked ok and it was great. A lot more features than my old tomtom had The reason I went for this sat nav over some of the others was because it had free maps for life and also stated that it came with safety camera alerts and no subscription was required.
Summary: Owned this sat nav for nearly a year now - was thinking about getting a garmin instead and now wish I had! This sat nav has all sorts of issues - look at TomTom's forum if you don't believe me. The Start 25 I have doesn't pick up a satellite signal for ages (if at all) repeatedly have to update the application software in a vain attempt to resolve problems - and finally, the battery has a very short life before it needs recharging - inevitable with such a large colour...
