Summary: The in car device seems fine, navigates well, good voice etc. But the computer software is awful. First off, it asks whether you want to install MyDrive or HOME. Well, how would I know. Surely, with the device connected, it should pick this up automatically. Then you need to link the device to your account, only it won't do it, keeps saying "error, try later". It goes round and round, asking you to click on your country over and over again.
Summary: I submitted a good review earlier, but that was before I tried to use it in my Transit. The volume is so low as to be useless. Yes, the transit is noisy, but even at full volume it is inaudible, so no chance of opening a window then. TomTom "do not have a problem" with the volume, but I do, try a Garmin much louder and just as good.
Summary: bought to house my tomtom 25 and its cables but have to squeeze it all in and then try to zip up whilst holding it tight so i used my tomtom 20 case whilst the sat nav is smaller than the 25 it fits better
Summary: I was disappointed with the the case as my TomTom Start does not sit deep enough in the designated area. This is a well made item except that whoever designed it didn't allow for the windscreen attachment device which forms part of the SatNav. Because of the extra height i cannot fit the charging cables etc into the pocket provided. Could do with a redesign.
Great SatNav, but trying to update it is a NIGHTMARE and I've yet to succeed.

Summary: The appeal of buying this TomTom is the lifetime upgrades however trying to GET those upgrades is confusing, frustrating and leaves one totally baffled. This model comes with no instructions on upgrading the maps and the website is unhelpful. After several attempts to use the website to update this model and failing (because it just hangs when I try to log on) I thought maybe I need to use the MyHome software that I used with my previous more primitive model, but again,...
Machine excellent - website and updating a total frustration

Summary: TOmtom when working is terrific - but updating is a nightmare. 19 hours to update and, after, at last, a confirmation that it is DONE! and I can disconnect, I get in the car and the machine says NO MAPS FOUND! Back to the computer and start all over again? That's what it says - and I suppose I, I would if I could only follow the instructions. Looks like putting it in the bin and buying Garmin.
