Summary: I have been wanting a GPS system for quite some time but I was reluctant to spend $500 and up for the product. The Tom Tom at under $300 is an excellent buy. I have used the product several times recently when traveling and am very satisfied.
Summary: I got this last week and am absolutely in love with it! I had to use it right away after I got it, and I did. I literally took the device out of the box, followed a few easy instructions to get started, entered in my destination and off I went! It worked great. So clear and easy to use.
Summary: The TomTom ONE is the first GPS navigation system I've used much. After trying it out in my neighborhood, I used it on two trips - one from MD to FL and back again, and another where I flew to the Dallas/Ft.Worth area and drove a rental around for several days.
Summary: I got my TomTom One Limited Edition (with SD card slot) on Black Friday sale and I really like it. I have used Garmin Nuvi 350 for a while and liked it too. Both units are comparable in size and in performance, except that the TomTom One is 2.5x cheaper than Nuvi 350.
Summary: I purchased this unit for my wife(a real-estate agent). I did a lot of comparisions and read a ton of reviews on GPS units, leaving money out of the picture I focused on two things that she needs/uses on a daily basis. Itinerary(multiple addresses) and two possible saftey features.

Summary: First let's start off by saying for it's price range and features there's no comparison---1:THE CHIPSET used is called SiRFstarIII, in a review of this chipset I would definitely rate It a 10, first off in my use of the chipset in seconds as you go off course, which I have done numerous times it...
Summary: I purchased my first GPS nav device (the Tomtom ONE) in April '07. I used it for relatively short local trips near home in NC and it worked flawlessly. Using it is easy and fairly intuitive. The windshield mount is excellent - it never came unintentionally detatched.
Summary: This is a great basic no-nonsense GPS that works right out of the box, takes a minute or so to connect when turned on, but updates directions quickly when you go "off course." Works just as well as my wife's Acura Navi unit. Battery lasts ~ 2hours and need to use car adapter.
Summary: This is a nice product. Quality build much like and apple product. Finds the directions needed quickly and reroutes fast. Touchscreen takes about 5 minutes to get the hang of and works with your fingernail tapping the screen and there is no need to get your finger tip placed directly on it.
If you get lost like I do, this is the product for you

Summary: After looking at the consumer report website, this TomTom ONE GPS model was considered to be the best value. So I went ahead and purchased this model. And I'm glad I did!!! It's very easy to use and very accurate. I thought it would be hard to specify a drive to location..
