List All 2 PricesThe TomTom ONE XL is essentially a widescreen version of the TomTom ONE. Though it has the largest screen in TomTom's lineup of products, it lacks the text-to-speech conversion found in competing GPS devices with 4.3-inch screens, such as the Mio CN520, the Magellan Maestro 4040, and the Garmin nüvi 600 series. TomTom's ONE XL is the wide-screen version of the . Priced at around $400, the updated ONE XL sports a 4.3" wide display and adds support for TomTom's real-time traffic service. Last year I reviewed the , and although there was much to praise, the ONE suffered from poor maps, terrible customer support, and a sub-par routing engine. Has TomTom fixed all that ailed the ONE and delivered a stylish, user-friendly wide-screen GPS for under $400? Read more

The new TomTom One XL may be much larger than the standard TomTom One but does it get much more than some extra fries? With a massive screen, Bluetooth and full UK or European maps it should be a good bit of kit. Read more
All the complaints I've listed above indicate that this TomTom isn't perfect. But they're not major enough problems to persuade me that TomTom is about to relinquish its crown as the king of in-car sat-nav. The One XL is easy to use, provides clear and sensible driving instructions and isn't even that expensive – for £245 (check which maps are supplied before you buy) you can get the European maps version and if you shop around, the UK and Ireland version can be found... is the follow-up widescreen version of the successful second generation TomTom ONE that was launched last year. Since the TomTom ONE was launched, the GPS world has gone widescreen, and , the widescreen version of the flat form factor TomTom ONE was a sure-fire sequel. Comments about TomTom ONE XL Automobile Navigator: For planning trips I recommend a computer and a web map. The problem I had with this isn't general design - I picked up the controls within seconds of touching a GPS for the first time. But it makes too many mistakes for my tastes. Read more
The TOMTOM ONE XL would be OK if it came with an up-dated map but it dosn't, you can download one free from tomtom's website but everybody dosen't have highspeed internet and dialup takes 70+ hours. I don't think so! It needs an update badly. alot of missing information. The websites service center was no hope. I never found a link after two nites where I could tell my problem to someone. Just self-serve links. Forget the phone. Read more

We have had this sat nav for over 3 years now. I'm not the most technical person but I will try my hardest in giving you my opinion on it! *Price and Availability* As we have had ours so long it has now been updated and there is a newer version available. However, I remember we paid £179.99 for our edition and the updated version (Tom Tom XL Live) is available for £147.99 (Halfords website) or there is one which also has maps for Europe which is selling for £165.99.
