Summary: I found this satnav to be very easy to use and intuitive. The only downside is the battery life which is fairly short at about 2 hours, however as you can have it plugged in the whole time this is not a significant drawback.
Slow start up time but otherwise excellent entry level tom-tom, do you really need anything else?

Summary: Had an old tom-tom one which got nicked and really struggled without one for the month afterwards- scary how much i relied on it to get me to new places without even realising! Was toying with the idea of getting the new garmin with built in tv- then saw the tom tom one for a third of the price.
This Tom Tom is worth the money and in my experience its worth paying extra for a well known brand

Excerpt: I have owned the Tom Tom One Version 4 for the past 12 months and have found it nothing but brilliant. I previously owned a very cheap sat nav and I can honestly say I can definitely notice the difference.
Summary: Its admittedly my first Satnav, but I have seen my friends ones and this is far superior. Maps and directions are clear. Places can be found very quickly and it remembers places you have been for ages.
Summary: Works well. Suction-cup windscreen mounts solidly to the windscreen. The TomTom does not mount and dismount quite so easily onto the mount, though :(. OK once you get used to it. No trouble at all finding resonable routes around London... timing way to optimistic, though.
Summary: Within a few days of purchasing Tom Tom ONE v4, we went on a week's family holiday to Portugal & Spain, and the Tom Tom was superb. I used it straight out of the box and did not upload any updates to the maps. On holiday we used it all week and ithad no problems in navigating us in both countries.
Summary: Bought this a few weeks ago now and it's a great product. The map update worked well online, as does the whole online interface for making updates to the tomtom. Traffic function is completely useless.
