Summary: THIS UNIT, SOME TIMES IT DON'T TELL YOU AT THE RIGHT TIME TO GET OFF OF AN EXIT UNTIL YOU HAVE ALREADY PASSED IT UP.THEN YOU HAVE TO SOME HOW TO GET TURNED AROUND TO COME BACK!!!!!(THAT SUCKS) BUT OTHER THAN THAT,I REALLY LIKE IT.
Summary: One of the more economical units in the market. Good for someone who is not sure about getting a more expensive unit w/ a larger screen and distracted options. Good for someone who is just looking for a basic GPS module. Easy to use & read.
Summary: This is my first GPS. I had used a Garmin in a rental car and went back and forth between purchasing the TomTom or a Garmin. I settled on the TomTom because it had much better reviews. I used it for the first time this week for a trip from Western Massachusetts to Baltimore, MD and used it to navigate through Washington, DC also. Here is my review now that I have used it: On the highway/interstate: You might want to get the one that says exit names.
Summary: I turn it ON and it work, It look nice and classy, I used it for an hour, I turned it off and went to do some shopping and return back and turn it ON and I got a white screen, it freezes, I researched the issue on the internet and looks the problem is all over the place with this model. I am returning the item today. However, with the one hour usage I have, I loved it, it is easy to work with and I wished it is not defective.
Summary: Unfortunately, I'm not very pleased with my Tom Tom. The unit was supposed to be new. Tom Tom is concerned it is refurbished.??? What? I told them I purchased it new from Amazon. The unit starts up fine. We set all the needed info. Location, home address, etc. Turned the unit off, then back on a little while later, we get a white screen. If I then reset the unit and power it up, everything works fine. When it worked the unit was awesome.
Summary: The way the TomTom One is advertised, I thought this thing would practically drive my car to the destination. However, it is a very basic unit. It's good at what it DOES do. But.....I was seriously disappointed with the fact that this unit, with 1 gig of internal storage does not have a card slot and does NOT STORE MULTIPLE ROUTES!!!!
Summary: I've lusted after one of these things since my cousin got one from his son as a birthday present. The advent of the 3rd edition at only $50 more than the current edition tipped me over the edge. While the unit operates like a piece of cake, with excellent maps and a GPS processing algorithm that puts me right in the middle of the road back here in the mountains of West Virginia, the documentation was/is pitiful.
Tom Tom you have served me well, I have a new phone now though :(

Excerpt: I purchased this around 4 years ago, although this edition of the Tom Tom was released 2007. I recall paying around £80 at the time, although I see that this has dropped in price significantly to £40 or even less. You can still purchase from many on and offline retailers new and second hand. I guess the drop in price would be attributed to newer edition/generations of Tom Tom's coming along.
A good and reliable SatNav, minus a few bugs, which will get you from A to B mostly issue free

Excerpt: I am notorious amongst the people that know me at being one of the worst navigators around. Quite frankly, navigating my way out of a paper bag can be a bit of a struggle. Stories of my inability to read a map or even hold it the right way around have spread far and wide and so to stop reinforcing that particular girl stereotype I acquired the TomTom ONE 3rd Edition back in 2008 in an attempt to make getting lost down country roads a thing of the past. What's in the box?
