Summary: This is a capable system, w/pretty accurate maps. The big CON depends on who you are: if you like me have a problem following directions like, "make a right in 1/8 of a mile", instead of hearing street names then this product is not for you.
Summary: Got this for Xmas and it is a wonderful GPS as stated in many other reviews. Excellent features, and ease of use for a great price. However, it appears that thousands and thousands of these are defective from the factory.
Summary: I turn it ON and it work, It look nice and classy, I used it for an hour, I turned it off and went to do some shopping and return back and turn it ON and I got a white screen, it freezes, I researched the issue on the internet and looks the problem is all over the place with this model.

Every time I powered the unit up it would go straight to a white screen, then I would have to press the reset button and start it up...
Summary: Unfortunately, I'm not very pleased with my Tom Tom. The unit was supposed to be new. Tom Tom is concerned it is refurbished.??? What? I told them I purchased it new from Amazon. The unit starts up fine. We set all the needed info. Location, home address, etc.
Summary: Update - The GPS recently got updated to a more recent version of software (the update process landed up being confusing). I haven't re-checked on the errors I mention in my earlier review after this update - but I can tell you that it does take a while longer to cold boot now (I thought it had hung...
Summary: I bought my TomTom One in June 2007. The original software was easy to install and the GPS worked great. Althought the maps were supposed to be current as of Feb. 2007, I found a number of areas that the GPS couldn't find. Not too great a problem.
Summary: I've lusted after one of these things since my cousin got one from his son as a birthday present. The advent of the 3rd edition at only $50 more than the current edition tipped me over the edge.
