Summary: I recently purchased this used, like new device over a month ago. Unfortunately i was not getting a gps signal no matter how long i left it on. One time i left it running for an hour and 30 minutes while my friend used his cell phone for us to navigate and still no signal from tomtom.
Summary: It may not have all the bells and whistles of a more expensive model, but it gets you from A to B, and that's really all that matters. A great buy for $60! One odd thing... if you leave it plugged in too long, it goes to a "safety lock" mode that can't be released without unplugging it and leaving...
Summary: This was a nice purchase. The product came really quick and it was packed nice. It included everything the description said it would which I was pleased with. The only complaint I have is that the unit is a bit small but I get what I paid for.
Summary: I noted in the packaging feedback that this was poorly packaged and that may be the reason for my problems. I charged the TomTom, then connected it to my PC for what turned out to be a 2-day marathon. Fortunately, I followed the suggestion of first backing up the device.
Summary: Overall, the TomTom is great for rural areas and it is very easy to use however, this particular model takes an inordinate amount of time (more than 8-10 minutes) to acquire a signal which is a real detriment if you have to get there quickly.
