Summary: My old TomTom Go Live 1000 with Live Traffic was stolen from my car a few weeks ago. I resorted to using my cars built in navigation system but didn't get on with it at all. What I missed the most was the Live Traffic updates.
Summary: I bought this sat nav to use for work, and it's one of the worst sat navs i have ever used. It's forever freezing up when I put postcode in sometimes it takes me to the postcode other times it will just take me to the road the post code is on. E.g.
Summary: I was very dissatisfied that the battery on this device, when in use lasted not much longer than 1 hour. Also I was unable to change things like colours to make the device more pleasing and easy to see. I have always loved TomTom and so does my wife.
Summary: First switch on resulted in large RED Battery ICON in centre of screen and despite TomTom 'charge' suggestion of minimum of 2.5 hours this did not work and TomTom arranged to have the unit repaired in Spain.
Summary: I have used Tom Tom for many years. I was forced by buy a new one as our previous one (the IQ) was stolen. Anyway I did a bit of research and decided on the GO 400. It was received last week I have now played around with it for a little while. I like it. I prefer the new set up and screen interface.
Can not avoid road blocks - Phone networks dont support tethering . RIP TOMTOM

Summary: Free lifetime maps and traffic. This should be a no brainer at this price. I read about the removal of popular features but that didn't bother me because I have been using tomtom IQ routes which is their smallest and most basic sat nav for over 5 years and I love it.
Summary: I have used an old Tom Tom product for quite some time now to cater for my satellite navigation needs, which (it has to be said) was perfectly adequate, however the Tom Tom GO 400 Europe takes Sat Navs to the next level.
Summary: Replaced my old Tom Tom that finally have up after 5 years with the new go 400 and it's a perfect replacement. The new software is very easy to use and not cluttered with hundreds of settings that 90% of people never used as in the old version.
