Summary: Updated review on 28th June 2014 I have now had my TomTom GO600 for a little over two weeks and this is my review of it. TomTom GO600. All maps and updates are up to date. We have just spent a week in East Devon and used the TomTom all the time. However, I did find several problems with it that I shall list below. 1. I am told to 'bear right' instead of 'follow the road'. Confusing, and why I need to know this information anyway I don't know. 2.
Summary: A natural choice following the death of my old Tom Tom Go 710, this is, on the whole, a very worthy successor. Yes, the interface is totally different (and we all hate change, don't we!) but it is a vast improvement, with excellent graphics and some very subtle but clever and useful extra touches.
Summary: I got this new go 600 uk model for xmas to replace my aging xl unit and after a few days of use I thought I would review it good points ...nice big screen and loud voice commands now the honest bad bits What have tomtom done to this new model good god they have stripped it bear !!! first you cannot alter or change anything ie only one theme on it and its boring and pale in colours no way of adding your own speed cams or voices and if like me use it for work and do multi...
Summary: I bought this Tomtom 600 after my Garmin 3597 was stolen. Compared with the Garmin this Tomtom performed much better and was less hassle to live with. Garmin was more expensive as well compared to the Tomtom which proves that you don't have to pay top dollar for a quality product which in my opinion works perfectly. But Tomtom's after sales service is the WORSE I've ever dealt with! I'm still waiting for my Tomtom to get repaired and returned after almost A MONTH!
Summary: Quite disapointed with it in fact so much that I returned it, wouldn't do head up only North up, horrible colours all very limp, one or two good things but not as good as Garmin although the sales staff were very helpfull
Summary: Several years ago, I had a very unpleasant experience with one of TomTom's early Go Live satnav devices, which I owned for about 2 hours before sending it back due to the extremely buggy nature of its software. So I was not expecting great things from the Go 600, but I have to admit to being pleasantly surprised.
Summary: Not an opinion or a review as yet.I bought one of these quite a while ago and I was impressed to see that it got the signal back inside the car with having the dreaded Athermic! What I found most displeasing was the fact that these docking shoes do not have an inbuilt microphone in them for hands free use!
OK for a while, but now losing favourites, and Tomtom not fixing

Excerpt: I have had a GO730 for several years, and it worked OK for a while. It navigates pretty well, and I liked the itinerary feature. I used it to plan a 3000km driving holiday round SW USA and it worked very well. But the battery refused to take charge after a couple of years, and now it has started regularly to lose its favourites every time I update my maps. Moreover, the backup and restore feature which I relied upon has refused to restore the device.
