Summary: I purchased a TomTom navigator system based on good experiences with renting cars with Magellan's Neverlost. The Magellan unit was expensive and I found the TomTom had a superior user interface, was portable and less costly. So I purchased the TomTom Go Plus. I can't give enough praise to the user interface. It is very intuitive. The graphics are large and easily read from a distance. Its speaker delivers loud and clear speech.
Summary: They only last a year! In 5 years I went through 4 TOM TOMs. When you really need them to work , they go dead. Contacted TOM TOM's main Office only to find out they can not repair them. After complaining to the company ,I shipped two dead units back to the main office,Then and only then did they make good on ONE unit! I have since used GARMIN ,nuvi and I an very satisfied after 3 years with GARMIN! AND Garmin gives you free map upgrades.
Summary: difficulties in bringing (very hangs) TomTom. I think that's just my TomTom has problems if all tomtom Go 600 series have this problem or just mine. I check it all the time, all updates are up to date. likely if nothing will fix it I would have to advertise it.
Live services frequently unavailable, good when it works though

Summary: Edit: Posted to the TomTom forum I've been using the Go 600 since just before Xmas (previous history Go Live, Nuivi & Mio) and have issues with the availability (or lack of) of the Live Traffic services which let's be honest if it wasn't for that, I for one would have kept the Garmin. The problem for me is whenever the traffic is heavy (i.e. Xmas around the M25 belt) and you really need up to date traffic info is the time when the Live services never seems to connect.
Summary: I was disappointed. I had to return this because it was difficult to see the small icons and text on the screen. The street names are difficult to read and too minimal. The time of/distance to arrival are very small and the speed icon and numbers are too small for me. It becomes dangerous for me if I'm concentrating on trying to read instead of driving. In my opinion anyone who needs glasses for reading close-to will have the same problem.
Summary: The only good thing about this satnav is the size of screen.i can't believe I waste my money to buy this.the live traffic is always wrong.you can't put door numbers and when you arrive on the destination you have to look for the number by your self.No hands free that means you can't use your phone when you drive.only need your phone to connect to the live traffic .i had tomtom all my years of motoring but is the first time I'm disappointed .all and all this satnav is...
Summary: I was in two minds about ordering this based on some of the reviews but in the end gave it a go. I checked the packaging before opening and it said it was x50 compatible but my 750 just doesn't fit. The gap is small but it means any pressure on the case is transferred to the unit and water or dust could also get in through the crack. Had it back the package for return in minutes.
