Summary: The TomTom GO LIVE 820 Europe is perhaps one of the best surfers on the market for a price not exactly cheap. The features are many even if it lacks all that part purely media and entertainment that you can find on other devices in the same price range. Excellent bluetooth connectivity and voice commands that make it extremely versatile and efficient.
Pros: Eco Routes, Bluetooth, European maps, speed camera alert, IQ Routes, including LIVE Services, Voice commands, HD Traffic; Notice exceeding speed limits; Large display touchscreen.
Summary: Let's assume you've already decided that you want a hardware sat-nav to direct your roads trips rather than a smartphone app. Well, let's assume that to start with anyway. In that case, you probably want something smart, simple and easy to use. One box for one job, right? Good, because the TomTom Go Live 820 Europe is just that.
Pros: No hassle set-up, Voice control works well, Traffic and weather info with subscription
Cons: Clunky interface, Battery will need charging en-route
TomTom GO LIVE 820 Top Gear Edition Sat Nav Review
11 September 2011
Conclusion: Overall, we’re very impressed with the TomTom Go Live 820 Top Gear Edition Sat Nav. Even though the standard Go Live 820 is about £30 cheaper than this limited edition, it’s well worth the money if you’re a Top Gear fan! The quality of the software and all round easy to use system makes this a truly great sat nav for use on long journeys. We really liked the HD Traffic, Voice Control, Google Local Search and obviously Jeremy Clarkson’s instructions.
TomTom GO Live 820 review: The TomTom GO Live 820 is one of the first GPS units in Australia to feature TomTom's HD Traffic service
Good Gear Guide.au
6 September 2011
Summary: TomTom's GO Live 820 is an impressive GPS unit, but the real story here is the integration of the company's HD Traffic service. While not perfect, its integration is seamless and easy to use. The GO Live 820 is good value at this price, but we wish the Live services were free for life and not just 12 months.
Pros: Ease of use and design, HD Traffic and Live services, Slick navigation experience
Cons: Voice commands hit and miss, IQ Routes still prefers main roads, Live services cost extra after 12 months
Pros: Eco Routes; Bluetooth; Mappe europee; Avviso autovelox; IQ Routes; Servizi LIVE inclusi; Avviso superamento limiti velocità; Comandi vocali; HD Traffic ; Ampio display touchscreen
