After 2 days of working with TomTom, LIVE finally works and the unit is awesome, but there is a catch

Summary: OK folks, the reason the price is so low is because these units were found in a warehouse in 2011 somewhere and being sold now, at least that is what my packaging looked like. The unit was "new" but the package has a new SKU sticker over the old one and was from their 2011 packaging - so who knows? Anyway, I hooked it up to the laptop and TomTom recognized the device and the serial number, updated it and accepted the Lifetime Maps code that came with the unit. All good.
Summary: I like it and it works well, it does pick up the satellite signal quickly which was the reason I replaced my last Tom Tom. What I don't like about it is the plug in comes apart so you can use the USB portion of the cord - the problem is you have to be careful as it comes off easily without you detaching it. I had to get on the parking area at a Hertz Car Return as it fell off the cord, to retreive from underneath the rental car. Other than that happy with it.
Summary: I purchased this for my husband as a gift, and I read through most of the horrible reviews and thought long and hard about whether or not I wanted to spend a great deal of money on this. And I'm glad I decided to. My husband had no problem updating the maps onto the device when he got it, the screen is large which makes it very easy to accurately hit the buttons. The only snag the device has is the voice option, while it isn't horrible, its not that great either.
Summary: Good GPS. Easy to work with, light weight and no complications.Good for the price and life time maps.Despite I prefer Magellan style and voice this has a good price v. service, unlike magellan that requires purchase maps updates.
Summary: I have had my TomTom 1535M for a little over a month now, and have been generally very satisfied with the units performance. The only draw back is that there is a short delay between the touch screen and the action that I am requesting. The unit is very light, thin, and stylish. I have yet to really put it to the test in a heavy traffic situation, but I'm confident that the unit will work just fine. Overall, it has been the best car GPS I have owned.
Summary: GPS works great. TomTom web software did not work so well, hence why only 4 stars. I contacted customer support to delete my old TomTom and add this one to thier database for my account. Needed a copy of my invoice, Lifetime Map update coupon, serial number and account information. Could be faxed or scanned to them. Took about a day to get system updated. Updating map is easy once that was completed. I do like the LIVE feature of this GPS.
Summary: This is a user-friendly gps for someone w/ no experience. The only bad thing is it's a little slow on catching up if you miss a turn to adjust and give you alternates. It's good and sturdy and hasn't gotten me lost yet, as I recently moved to another state (which is why I purchased it) and have no idea where anything is!
