Summary: It's actually a bit too large (strange complaint) but I tend to use my smaller and more portable Start 20 for most things. You need a fast broadband speed to update the world maps and it's not easy to update just Europe say
Summary: Seems a bit to slow for me. Even google maps on my phone works more than twice faster and when route is recalculating phone do that much faster, but TomTom still quite accuracy and it's good for live traffic.
Summary: As a professional courier I need a satnav that will work anywhere I go with the minimum of fuss and this one fits the bill. It took about 90 minutes to update all the maps from the first time it was connected to Tomtom Mydrive but has worked well since. My previous Tomtom was a Go 850 with a built in suction cup and I found this cumbersome but this one is a breeze to get on and off the holder on the screen.
Summary: I have been an owner of the Tomtom Go Live 1005 for over two years. It is a truly excellent product with all the features you would expect of a flagship model from this company. Set up is incredibly easy including adding home location and favourites etc. Using the device is a joy with a choice of 2D and a sort of 3D view. The Live services include traffic, cameras, weather and Google search for destinations.
Summary: A good unit that keeps in with the tradition of the TomTom products, usual set of tools for searching for addresses and similar things like petrol stations, points of interest etc. Good adaptive screen changing colour automatically for night and day time and the live part is about 90% there but this isn't their fault as not all roads are yet covered by sensors so it doesn't know all traffic jams and roadworks.
Summary: Very intuitive. The traffic monitoring is very accurate although it can sometimes seem to search for a signal for traffic but the GPS signal is always brilliant. My first started rebooting by itself after 6 months but Amazon replaced it for me without issue and I've had no problems with the replacement.
Summary: This has all the services listed, and worked perfectly from the box. It is really clear and easy to follow and avoids traffic via the sim card update really well. My main problem with it is the maps do not have accurate road speed limit data. I got it to avoid speed tickets in Switzerland (where I live). It is really good at warning you when you go 5 kph over, with increasing urgency.
Summary: Fantastic product and does the job well but I wish it came with an instruction book. I found it awkward to link in with the software and once into the software I found it difficult to download and interact as I wasn't always sure what I/it was doing. Instructions here to explain would have been so very helpful rather than having to make numerous attempts and end up phoning for support.
