Summary: Moved from an old TomTom One - worked incredibly well. Needed world maps and liked the idea of Live services so upgraded. Disappointing overall. Some good points such as screen size and Live services.

Summary: VERY DISAPPOINTED! I thought I was purchasing a top end model, but the performance is terrible! The processor in this is far to slow for the complex software and it struggles to keep up and crashes frequently, usually after it has received vital traffic info (if the traffic service happens to be...
Summary: This was a complete waste of money. It kept dropping out and unnecessarily recalculating. It failed to work in hot weather and stopped working completely after a few months. 'Lifetime mapping' applies only to the life of the product which was 7 months.
Summary: Once it manages to pick up satellites, the TomTom Go Live is pretty good. The trouble is that currently it can take up to 30 minutes to do this, and then has a habit of losing the signal again until it finally settles down.
Summary: Sorry to say the tomtom go live 1005 has major issues. Just done a trip from Cheshire to Eastbourne it took me all over the place. It usually is 288 miles from my house to Eastbourne at 380 miles we arrive. I went straight round to halfords and got the go 60.
Summary: I have had no end of problems within six months of buying this product. I took it back to the shop and they did a system reset which worked for a few weeks until I did an update on Tom Tom's site then everything went pear shaped again.
Summary: What a complete waste of money. I had a Go750 which worked all the time every time. I thought I would up grade to a better device. Enter the 1005!! What a joke. Constantly fails to up date, the little round circle traffic indicator just spins round and round and round.
Summary: I bought this unit because of the live traffic for three years and lifetime maps. The unit didn't last the year, it started shutting down and acting strange. Then it wouldn't connect to any of my computers to update, I followed the advice from customer support and ended up completely killing it.
Summary: i bought this product in January for use when i get to the USA for April but i arrived yesterday and there was no map for USA there which means i paid for the wrong product and i am very upset as i am now unable to use my product and looking for an American SD card to go with it.
