Summary: My TomTom died today: the touch screen is completely unresponsive and a reset has not effect. The touch screen was always quite poor quality: at best it's like using an iPhone with gloves on. Very disappointed with this product's life. Not sure if these models are still sold but be warned.
Summary: This is an excellent product BUT there is a problem with the charger included. The metal ring at the end of the charger fell off after a few months while in use, causing a short in my car's cigarette lighter and a garage bill to have the fuse replaced. I thought this was a one-off on my TomTom GO 950 but exactly the same thing happened within two days use on the TomTom GO 550 I bought for my wife in her car. Avoid until TomTom upgrades the charger.
Summary: After receiving two 'dead on arrival' units from Amazon, my third unit still does not perform satisfactorily after months of calls to TomTom support. 1. The unit crashes any Windows 7 x64 PC that I connect it to (blue screen of death). 2. On almost every trip the TomTom screen will freeze, which can cause me to miss a junction. When I realise that I'm not being fed new information, I have to manually reboot the device. 3.
Summary: Let me begin by saying excellent service from Amazon as usual. Now where to start with the product. I read all the reviews and saw the 1 star reviews and thought that perhaps they were unlucky but I soon realised I was wrong. Poor start up and setup, not helped by lack of instructions in the manual. Appalling touch screen, slow and delayed response. When you press the screen it does nothing so you wait and press again it then does two steps.
Summary: bought the TomTom 950Live back in August - have had problems all the way with it - such a device should not need this level of support - each evening i seem to have to spend time responding to service desk tickets that i have open with TomTom - last week the device was in such a mess i was instructed to reformat it and start again from their basic install - this week they want screen shots to tell them whats on it - all their TomTom Home2 software seems to do is to try...
Summary: I recently had to change from my trusty TomTom Go 500 because of the arrival of a iPhone which can not be used for data with the traffic service. I, mistakenly, thought if I bought the top of the range model it would be the best option. Well I am on my third 950 and they've all been rubbish. I was told, by TomTom support, that my first one had a virus! The second one had no postcodes on it and was obviously a reconditioned unit.

Summary: Avoid tomom or get a cheaper 740 and buy a USA map if you got there... Tomtom 950 comes with US, Europe and UK Maps so this should upgrade the lot shouldn't it... Well no - I luckily asked Amazon and they said Europe only - so beware if you want a map upgrade. Like a remote bluetooth - sure go pay extra. Play an MP3 - No way Play through your FM receiver - No way Tomtom live services - a whole month free - whooppee do - and of course doesn't work in US anyway.
