Summary: I've had my 940 for just about a year now and generally I'm happy with it. The best feature is the Live services which removes some of the uncertainty when travelling up and down the motorway a lot (like wot I do). It's saved me quite a lot of time over the last year and it's generally reliable although you can never be sure how up to date the warnings are (a number of 'jams' seem to magically disappear as I'm driving through where they're supposed to be).
A good Sat Nav with lots of useful and some not that useful features

Summary: The Go 940 Live is a very good SatNav in my view. The features that I found positive about are: 1. MP3 player - the allegedly more modern and apparently more popular Go 950 model does not seem to have a MP3 player - but this model Go 940 has one. 2. Has a FM transmitter which can transmit the music played by the built in MP3 player to a frequency you can adjust - so you can get the music going in your car while you drive with the SatNav.
Summary: Bought this for a trip to the US having previously had a GO710. Nice look and feel, familiar UI with clear layout. Speech recognition is quite good and the POI are much more comprehensive than the 710. Was invaluable driving around the US though none of the Live services worked out there and it found a couple of dead ends it thought went through. Not looking forward to the 3 month Live trail ending though I may leave it as the features are quite a gimmick.
Summary: TomTom GO 940 Satellite Navigation System - LIVE Worldwide This is my second Tom Tom, and I must say at the outset that I cannot do without it now. The new Tom Tom 940 Live is a very good product, with enough added value from my previous Go 300 to be worth buying. Mainly, it "does what it says on the tin" very efficiently, although on the downside the "Live" part of the system has to be paid for after 3 months, and will only be worthwhile to those of us that do a great...
Summary: I have eagerly awaited the chance to upgrade to the 940live.
Pros: Navigation, Handling, Updates regelmäßig, Freissprechen, Halterung uvm . Service
Summary: .
