Summary: This gps has good features for a good price, but the whole reason you buy a gps is for navigation. And this doesn't even compare to the garmin. It was always a half a mile off on the final location.
Summary: While I was deciding to buy a GPS contemplating between Garmin and Tom Tom , I choose tom tom because of its advanced features it has Map share which I believe is best among its competitors. Tom Tom's innovation has put this product into major league. 1 problem i faced with this GPS is, it has to be hard booted everytime to receive signals. Is that normal for TOM TOM?
a std 2012 model will serve you better than a high end outdated device.

Summary: i never liked tomtom, but this model being top of the line in 08 i decided to give it a shot, obviously for a 4yr old device the price was sufficient but the features are basic, and it took a while to set up, i like the way it looks but theres just no bang for your buck!
Summary: Great navigator except I have experienced problems with display light. First model light stopped working after a few uses, got a second and am having the same problem with display light not working.
Summary: This device is great with respect to all the standard features. However, I bought it primarily for handsfree calling in my car, expecting it to be a good replacement for the Garmin I had, but discovered on use that the phone call audio is not routed through my car stereo. Phone call audio is heard through the small speaker on the back of the unit. I have to lean forward while driving in order to hear people speak.
Summary: good GPS by itself, but its nothing without maps and here we are: be prepared to pay for everything. I paid for this receiver about $500 few years ago and now I have to pay them $40 every year for map updates, then you have to pay one more time for europe map updates... Blood suckers... I selling tomtom now, newer again.
