Summary: If you're looking for a high-end in-car GPS with the latest features, the TomTom GO 930 delivers with accurate directions and new navigation tools like advanced lane guidance and voice address entry.
Pros: The TomTom GO 930 offers address entry via voice as well as lane assistance and 3D renderings of complex intersections. The portable navigation system also has optimized route calculation based on historical traffic data; text-to-speech functionality; integrated Bluetooth; and a wide screen.
Cons: The voice command feature on the GO 930 isn't the most accurate, and often it's just easier to enter addresses using the onscreen keyboard. The lane guidance feature is only available for major highways and not all roadways. There's also no dashboard mounting disc included in the box.
Summary: Elegant and sleek looking, TomTom's GO 930 is one the best looking GPS units I've tested. The black rubberized plastic feels well built, and doesn't pickup fingerprints easily. The included windshield mount is easy to use, and holds the GPS securely in place when driving. The windshield mount isn't powered, so you'll need to connect the power cable to the GO 930 when docking or undocking the GPS from the windshield mount.
Pros: Gorgeous looking GPS, Good documentation, Strong FM transmitter, Ships pre-loaded with both North American and European maps, Map screen is highly customizable, and can be configured to suit your own preferences (including color scheme, vehicle icon, and how much/little information is displayed on the map screen)., Enhanced Positioning Technology (EPT) works well, Ability to enter a desired arrival time, and see a running counter of how early or late you will arrive a...
Cons: Voice recognition didn't work reliably, and only supported a limited number of functions. It's not possible to fully enter a destination without using the on-screen controls. Numbers need to be spoken one at a time (i.e. "three", "five" instead of "thirty five"). Can't use voice to dial a phone number, send an SMS, or route to a saved address from the address book, IQ Routes' traffic information not displayed on the map - no way to tell what the historical traffic for...
Summary: You might not have planned to spend $500 for a GPS, but TomTom offers an attractive package with the Go 930. While the similarly priced Navigon 7100--which initially was $150 more expensive--also features a 4.3-inch screen, lane guidance, and free traffic, the Go 930 has a much better user interface and voice commands. In general, we prefer the more affordable Dash Express because of its live traffic service and local search.
Summary: On the face of it this is just another of the huge range of devices to tell your where you are and how to get to where you are not. However after a few days of use I soon realised it did lots of things that other such devices do not.
Conclusion: All in all, this is TomTom doing what it does best. As a navigation solution, we think this is the best around, but this could be said of the offerings much further down the range, with a great range of options to ensure your journey goes as smoothly as possible. But do all the extra features make it a worthwhile purchase and justify that premium price? Sure, it is fully loaded, but perhaps too feature packed for your average user.
Pros: Great navigation, able to correct maps, lane guidance, user friendly interface, intuitive
Cons: Price, TMC cable irritating, TMC plug poorly designed, Bluetooth problems, remote control battery installation issues
Cons: Litt for dyr., Kjedelige kart, svakt batteri
Conclusion: Il TomTom GO 930 Traffic è uno degli ultimi modelli, nonché il top di gamma, della linea TomTom GO e presenta funzioni avanzate e design affascinante.
Pros: TMC integrato; Tecnologia IQ Routes; TomTom Map Share e HOME; Sintesti vocale; Funzioni multimediali
