TomTom GO 920T is a GPS navigation system. Its features are 4.3 inch LCD display, enhanced positioning technology and built-in Bluetooth.

Features

The TomTom GO 920T is an in-dash navigation system with a 4.3 inch full TFT color LCD. The LCD offers a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels and it supports 64k colors. It is integrated with Tom Tom’s new Enhanced Positioning Technology. When GPS signals are unavailable, this technology uses movement and gravity sensors to calculate drivers’ positions. Hence, the device can be continued to use, even when the destinations may not be a direct line-of-sight connection to a satellite. The incorporated Map Share application enables users to make easy changes to the map and share map corrections with other TomTom customers. Besides, it is equipped with voice prompted address entry feature. This feature gives users the option to speak the address to which they want to drive. Furthermore, it provides realistic and clear visual instructions by having high-quality 3D graphics. The TomTom GO 920T incorporates Bluetooth wireless technology via built-in Bluetooth which enables hands-free calling and remote control. It comes together with FM transmitter to enable the playing of music and navigation instructions over the car stereo. Additionally, it is integrated with 4 Gb internal flash memory and USB connectivity. It measures 4.6 x 0.9 x 3.3 inches in dimension and weighs 4 pounds.

Reviews of TomTom Go 920T

  1. TomTom 920T

    Reviewer: GPS Review
    11 November 2007

As of this writing, the TomTom GO 920T is the top of the line GPS system from TomTom. No holding back, no features left out for other higher end models. And for North American users the 920T and 920 is currently the only model to offer voice prompted address entry. This model also comes with a remote control, an RDS-TMC traffic receiver, and European map coverage in addition to the North American maps. So how well does it all work? Read more

The Go920T is a SatNav packed to the hilt with loads of features/ utilities to aid with Navigation. For sure its TMC receiver needs proper placement to get the best from it, but it does pick up local traffic problems. The text-to-speech was extremely useful for speaking back the road names along our test route. Read more

The GO 920 rightly earns its flagship status amongst TomTom's PND device range. It looks like a quality item, performs superbly and is so easy to operate that you can give it to anyone and they can use it happily with only the briefest of introduction. Read more

Watch out! This was a good GPS till it will not turn on anymore. TomTom does not stand behind their products. If you don't have your receipt you are out the money to get it repaired under warranty. Warranty is 1 year ONLY. My $400 dollar GPS only ... lasted 371 days. Watch out and it might be worth the extra dollars for an extented warranty. Read more Less Read more

This navigation system has many features, however if you are a Blackberry owner like myself don't bother. You will not be able to utilize all the features which defeats the purpose for purchasing such device. I so much trouble trying to retrieve information until I called TomTom and they stated that RIM, the makers of the Blackberry, limits the information making it non-compatible on all levels of usage.
