Summary: This is my first purchase of TomTom and I have been using this for a couple of months now. I would neither say I am satisfied nor unsatisfied about the performance. I have had few good experiences as well as a few bad. The good ones 1. It had saved me a few hours by taking me though alternate routes during traffic congestions using the live routes. 2. I like the display and the screen size. It is not to big nor too small. 3.
Summary: I am writing to help you guys out there. I have bought this Satnav July 2011. Pre-loaded with with Europe maps. Everyone here has had some problem with map updates. I had the same problem but managed to get it fixed myself on a Saturday when there was no help to call when TomTom help center is closed. **This is only applicable to NEW DEVICES when your mapupdates are Free after 30 days purchase**. Advices: 1) Buy TomTom WITH SD CARD memory.
Summary: I bought this as an update to my GO300. The delivery was prompt and the price competitive. This GPS does not have the latest map but does include a 1 year subscription to TomTom Live which includes speed cameras, the guaranteed latest map and map upgrades. Please read previous posts about downloading the latest map. You will need TomTom Home on your PC and if you attempt to download the latest GB and Europe map, it will not fit on the device.
Summary: Hi, Like many people I have just been through the mill with regard to buying a new Satnav. For the past five years I've been happily using my TomTom Go 300 on a fairly old map but with so many advances in technology and the high price of maps, there comes a time (usually just after some birthday money comes your way) that you make the excuse to update and start searching for the best option.
Excerpt: My girlfriend had been pestering me for ages to get a sat nav for her car, and a few months ago i took the plunge to treat her. As we are planning on driving to the south of France later in the year, I wanted to make sure i got one with Europe maps on. I had uses Tomtom before so I knew it would be from this brand. After much looking i decided to get the next one down from the top spec Tomtom, the GO 750 LIVE. UK, ROI & Europe.
Summary: This Tom TOm live 750 appears to be much better than my old Tom Tom GO 700.It sits on the windscreen better, is not as noisy when warning you of problems. It also appears to warn me of traffic jams, but I have not had much experience of this yet. However I think it is going to be a very good buy and value for money. I do not always buy the cheapest I look for good value fopr maoney, and with this Tom Tom it covers all western Europe.
Summary: I first made a purchase of the new 1000 GO direct from Tom Tom after owning two previous Tom Tom's that i was very pleased with but be WARNED the new 1000 GO model only operates on a finger touch to the screen and not on a prob touch which makes it very hard to use so i sent it back to Tom Tom and purchased the 750 GO from Amazon which is a much easier sat nav to live with.
Summary: I spent a great deal of time looking into the options available and on balance I'm very happy with the choice of sat nav. I've owned a Tomtom before (albeit one of the very early models) and have been very happy with the overall ease of use, accessories, customer service etc. I was also keen to upgrade to a model which has traffic information available and was puzzled that the Tomtom costs approx. £50 per year subscription where the Garmin has a free lifetime service.
