Summary: The size of the map files are getting bigger, to the point that they can no longer fit in the internal memory of the unit. They now have to be stored on an SDCard. If you search TomTom website, you can find the recommended card size, I think it is 4G as of September, 2014 I messed the unit up some how, found a web page how to install from scratch. Whatever new software that TomTom installed renders the touchscreen inoperative.
Summary: This GPS unit was a replacement for a same model unit that failed after 1 yrs use. My son drives every day for work and services computers in the Charlotte, NC area and has to find addresses daily, so he relies on a reliable unit. We have nothing but TomTom's dating back to the GO 910 when we need Central European maps due to living in England and Germany. These units are versatile and reliable (except for the failed unit). We will continue to purchase TomTom GPS's.
Summary: This product had problems right out of the box, the Bluetooth is a joke cause the mic on the device only picks up ambient noise. Called TomTom customer no-service and was told I could send in my brand new device in exchange for a remanufactured one. I told TomTom to kiss it. The "free traffic service" that was included with my device was taken away during a device update to TomTom Home.
Summary: I absolutely love this unit, connects to your phone via bluetooth. You can easily customize the unit with voices, favorite places, change vehicles via the computer hook up. Traffic monitoring is absolutely wonderful, just be cautious when it re-routes you due to traffic, because sometimes it can double your travel time ask me how I know ;(((. Would buy another if I had another car.
Summary: It is a great product but the refurbished version may come with used batteries. Mine doesn't last for more than 30 minutes. I love the product and I boght a new battery in order to improve the battery life.
Summary: This was our first experience with GPS and we were dubious at first but sold within the first day's use. It took a little getting used to, to believe it literally but you must. If you're on a freeway and it says exit on the left you must take it seriously and get into the left lane and not assume it means to take the next exit and then turn left at the bottom of the off-ramp.
