Summary: Well this is my second 710 it has just had the same fault re-occurring, as the first. Amazon replaced in two days, a great service. This 710 is now over the thrity days and won't switch off, screen has gone blank and won't connect to the computor.

Summary: Out the box and into the car it worked immediately. Plugged into my desktop for the updates and after updating, following all instructions the screen went blank but stayed illuminated. It was impossible to turn it off or turn it on.
Summary: As the car cradle vibrates when going over bumps in the road, the connection between the TomTom unit and the power supply coming through the cradle gets temporarily broken. This makes the TomTom think you've turned off your engine and the Tomtom unit switches off.

Summary: I bought this in April of this year and it has been a complete waste of money. At first I could not get the updates as they had messed up the codes for MACs and you could not connect. Then it kept freezing and I had to take it back to the store three times.
Summary: TomTom 710 offers a traffic addon. However, it requires bluetooth connection to a mobile phone. The purchase page says gprs; it does not mention Bluetooth. Once you buy the package and find it does not work; TomTom's basic reaction is 'too bad. You should have read the fine print'. Poor.
Summary: Purchased this item only 5 months ago at first just a few minor niggles with software. Then suddenly KAPUT,DEAD,DECEASED.Returned it only to be informed any time between min,2 to 4 weeks for a responce! that was not what i needed to hear.Considering the cost of the item
Summary: expensive, so slow that I often am going around roundabouts and junctions twice, often miss turnings etc because the stupid machine can't keep up with a car. Does not have enough memory to fit the updates so you are forced to buy a memory card - annoying.
