Summary: So I never reviewed this at the time I purchased it, but thats OK because I feel that my review will be a bit more accurate after owning it long term. To start with, great functionality. We have used all the major GPS brands, but time after time the TomTom units we purchase have been our favorites. This one has been no exception, but over the life of the unit there have been some flaws.
Summary: I purchased this unit to give my Magellan 1412 a rest - and get new maps. I did note that I have found several times that streets are not in the TOMTOM GPS that were (and are) in my other unit. I also noted that the TOMTOM gives different and not always faster directions. I love the voice input - that is a time saver. I originally did get another Magellan unit, but returned it when I discovered that their newest maps are flawed - much like the TOMTOM maps are flawed.
Summary: As far as the features, screen display, size, quality...the Tom Tom is great. My big problem is with the piece that attaches it to my windshield. It doesn't stick well, and when trying to adjust it, it pops off or the Tom Tom pops off the attachment. I had borrowed my brother's Tom Tom prior to purchasing this one and it did the same thing.
Useless "features" were not worth it, horrible mount

Summary: I got this Tomtom because we moved to a new state and I was driving on unfamiliar roads all the time. When we lived in a familiar place, I could usually get away with looking directions up on Google before heading out - since we knew the streets already, you just had to make a mental note of a new street or two. Here, however, I sometimes had to memorize up to 15-20 "legs", which was hard, especially if you messed up at some point.
Summary: Ok, here is the deal, I have been purchasing gps devices for many years, and have had some good ones, some bad ones, and some better than average ones. This gps is good but not great. The traffic feature that I purchased this for is not very good. Now I have used a garmin with the same feature and had the same mixed results, I live in a major metro area and this should be much better by now.
Summary: I had a TomTom 510 and love it but this 630 isn't that good. Took a trip to AZ. to visit my parants we got there about midnight and the 630 was 4 blocks off. The 510 was 1 house off, not to Happy.
