Summary: Dont waste your money go for the 1005 its by far the better spec and a lot cheaper. The bad points 1 No bluetooth 2 No pois on map 3 The map colours are diabolical ( have you seen a map with black roads?
Summary: this case is almost pointless it only just fits the tomtom but rubs against the sides of the device leavig marks and it has no pocket for the cable or the bracket making it pretty pointless for carrying sat nav
Summary: : Took the plunge and ordered the 6000. It arrived yesterday and it's going back tomorrow! Functionality is excellent, but the display lacks contrast and looks 'washed out. Impossible to distinguish white roads against background map colours. Juggling with brightness setting doesn't help. Will have a look in the shops to see if they are all like this. If not will maybe order another one. Very disappointing, 2/10 to TomTom --must do better if you want my money! Dogsdad.

Summary: Decided to give TomTom one last go to see if they could recover from the disastrous changes of the last two years and really wished I hadn't bothered. The mytomtom online service which updates the device has to be the most appalling disaster perpetrated on a client base. Its clearly worse than war, famine or pestilence or at least feels like it as it does the latest thing to break your device. Never does the word 'update' sound so hollow.
Summary: Many features have disappeared from this new version of TomTom navigation system. Menus are complicated. Speed button disappears when you stop the car. Traffic bar is totally complicated. It doesn't tell you after how many miles the traffic is on the road which you are travelling. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Please go for the older version of TomTom navigation system which works perfectly fine.
Summary: This is the 4th Tom Tom Go I have bought and I am thoroughly disappointed with it. I opened the box, turned it on whilst having it plugged into USB, chose the country... and it installed the driver for it onto my computer. To stay up-to-date I had to download and install 'MyDriveConnect' which said there are a number of updates (application, map, map updates) so I installed everything except the map fine and decided to install the map.
Summary: The screen is good and so is the mount, but the software is so basic. All those feature I have come to expect from a top of the range TOMTOM have gone. The search function is slow especially on post codes and POI's, some of the text and buttons are so small its barely readable, and there is no real customisation of colours etc., no viewing rotues as text or browsing maps.
Summary: Tom Tom may have included lifetime maps and traffic info on this device (GOOD) BUT The interface seems to be less friendly to me It is certainly a lot less fun to use And I can hardly read some of the text such as road names, or identifiers, time to destination etc It does NOT pair with your mobile either - so no hands free calling I hope that should this product be reviewed appropriately, TOMTOM may do something about the failings of the GO6000
