Summary: So far I am very pleased with my purchase. I have not been able to take any long journeys due to the recent bad weather but I am sure from what I have seen of the device it will give me much more confidence when I am back on the road.
Summary: Excellent item although make sure you get the right one. I wanted the TomTom Go 530 as it has an RTS traffic update report - giving you live traffic info updates such as jams etc. However I have since discovered that this feature is only available on the TomTom Go 530 T - which was disappointing as I spent a long time trying to make sure I bought the right model.
Summary: Most of the time it did good, the best thing is you can use it a mp3 player through the FM, the things which I did not like the you can not shut off the voice instruction alone while you listen to music, you can either shut them together or enable them both. Other thing you have to be careful if make a mistake in any roundabout TomTom will not help you much it's slow and you will end up stopping somewhere after you take one of the exits as looping in the roundabout will...
Summary: Just what I was looking for! Maps are fairly accurate, and you can amend anything you find wrong and then share it with the wider community, after it hasa been verified by TomTom (although this seems to take a while). Very easy to set up, change routes, save and change preferences etc.
Summary: I hate driving! I can't tell you how stressed out and panicky I get about being lost/wrong lane/ missing a junction or turn etc etc. HATE HATE HATE IT. So when my Boss told me I'd got a training course 65 miles away I sighed with despair as the train service was non existent! So I bit the bullet and bought a Tom Tom and it has changed my attitude to driving completely.
Summary: My first introduction to satellite navigation systems was when I bought a cheap Tom Tom One V3. Prices had come down to the point where saving time on ten journeys became less than ten quid. The technology made driving in unfamiliar towns possible and safe. This in itself was worth more than the £90.00 I paid. When I broke my statnav by wrenching the cable by accident I decided to consider a "better" version.
Summary: I spent a long while reviewing Sat Navs and whilst TomTom seemed favourite I was concerned about reviews which question the stability of the windscreen mounting. I finally purchased the TomTom Go530 and am very very pleased with it. No problems at all with the windscreen mounting, I always ensure that the suction cup is properly wetted (with spit) before fixing and it has not failed yet.
Summary: As I said above, the first one arrived but had a major fault..Although a replacement was fairly prompt to arrive naturally the extra admin involved was tedious. But a fairly smooth, straightforward exchange process operated by Amazon was a refreshing change.
Summary: Having fully road tested the TomTom Go530 all over the country whilst delivering wine I'm suitably impressed. Being a big fan of the old TomTom navigation and view, it had to be a Tom Tom again this time round and I wasn't disappointed. The satellite reception is very good and even after a long run in a tunnel it soon picks up where it left off, it is also good when it's switched on at finding it's position quickly which was a flaw in the older models.
Summary: I recently purchased a new Tom Tom 530 for my work as a sales Manager, we have always used Tom Tom GO Sat Nav's and never had any problems at all, this 530 is much the same with a much bigger screen, very clear instructions, the only down side to these units is the blue tooth which works well but you are not able to have a conversation with anyone when driving on the motorway, its just not loud enough to hear the other person, but still a very good unit, I have since...
