I wouldn't swap it for any other SatNav - It gets you to where you want to be!

Excerpt: Quick Summary: Best Satnav around, easy to use and reliable! Tomtom's do exactly what they are meant to do. They get you to your destination via the fastest or shortest route, even if you want to get somewhere and avoid motorways, the Go 520 will get you there. It will tell you the exact distance of the planned journey, how long it will take to get there, what time you will start and end the journey, it will give you prompt and loud directions so you can hear it very...
Summary: Having perused many reviews and much information regarding satnav systems, I eventually decided upon the TomTom Go 520 as my first ever unit. I was more than satisfied with the unit, and was less than gruntled when - due to my own carelessness - it was stolen. I looked at the newer models that had become available since my original purchase, but saw nothing that was an improvement on the Go 520, so I promptly purchased another.
Summary: I received this in good time, in brand new, very good condition. I found it very difficult to install music onto the SD card and get it to work in the Tom Tom. I discovered a lot of other people have had the same problem. My son eventually got it to work but it is a complex process and the instructions from Tom Tom are not easy to follow. Better instructions would be good as I would orefer to be able to do this myself.
Saves me so much time and hassle, excellent device.

Summary: Excellent build quality, very well designed menu layout and packed with customization options. The touch screen is also very responsive and doesn't make you feel like you have sausage fingers (even if you don't). Compared to my previous Medion Sat Nav, this one wins hands down in all areas. After purchasing, I connected to TomTom home on my laptop and updated to the latest map (for free). This included IQ routes, which I thought was only available on newer models.
Summary: I have never used a Satnav before so I can't compare it with its rivals but it is easy to use, I have hardly looked at the manual. And it is very impressive the way it calculates a new route so quickly when you turn off the suggested route. And as someone who doesn't get on with Microsoft Windows there was an unexpected bonus: the software that comes with it can be run on a Linux computer under the Wine emulator.
Summary: I bought this item as it was recommended by others who had one. So far it has directed me to the places I've had to go without problems. Much better than my previous satnav which took me round the block, into people's gardens and up dead ends.
