Summary: I really like the GPS and its graphics . HAVING extra accessories is great. however I can't seem to use it without the original map card it needs. Owner said he could'nt find so he did his part and I did'nt mind thinking I could get one . However I can't seem to find one -could you help me to get one?I love this product and can't wait to use it.
Summary: I used to think a GPS was for tourists or people who were too lame to read a map or learn their area. Until I became a Designated Driver. Man, did I have a lot to learn! My first was a GPS I got on eBAy, a Navigon. Neat unit- but due to the company pulling out of all North American markets- I can't get the map upgrades I need. So...I saw this older TomTom GO 510. And I got it! I love it!
Summary: it was a discribed. it is easy to use and works well. ive used it a few times already. i mainly bought it because i plan on driving on the next family vacation and being newly single with children...not someone to read the map.. it works perfectly for me. and the cost was in the right area because i was unsure if it would be something that i would use. love it.
Summary: This unit is an older unit so the software loaded with it is dated 2006. I just bought in in July 2008. For anyone looking for the most up to date maps out of the box this is not the unit for you. I bought this to replace a Magellan Roadmate. It has some nice features but could use some the Magellan had such as multiple users and an easier to access volume control.
Summary: I got one for Christmas and I don't know what I would do without it now. It shows and tells you exactly where to go. I have used it in our city and traveling. I also like that it shows the streets or highways you are crossing.
Summary: I have been disappointed in my TomTom for a number of reasons; so many in fact, that I don't know where to start... Perhaps the Ben and Jerry's in the POI for Mammoth Lakes, CA when we were on vacation that landed us in the middle of an apartment complex (perhaps they have a condo there...?). Similar results for a number of other POI's. Some work, some don't... The website is difficult to navigate. Support is not easy to get.
Summary: We were so happy when we bought our first GPS unit 8 months ago. But our experience with TomTom GO510 has been a frustrating one. The unit requires frequent resets, sometimes right in the middle of unfamiliar places. If we ever forgot to bring a pin, we had to resort to the good old map to get us out of the jam. To TomTom's credit, it did replace promptly our dead unit after initial 2 months of use.
