Summary: I have had my GO 500 for 5 months, and I like it for the most part. I have not been able to get the voice commands working when I say Hey Tom Tom. Today I called customer service on a different issue, and they finally told me that this feature does not work, and they are working on it.
Summary: We have had our TomTom GO 500 for about 6 months now. We used it to drive from California to Maine with numerous stops along the way. Pros: It tells you when gas stations, hotels, whatever you want, will be coming up on your route.
Summary: Well...where do I start with this product. I have a tomtom from 2006 and it has never failed me, it turns on every time, lasts hours on battery, and is simple and easy to use. I moved to USA and after being persuaded by family, friends and tomtom customer service to just buy a new unit instead of a...
Summary: I've owned this since June and im one of those people that use it on local commutes and trips cause i like to learn the patterns of these beasts so i can quicky navigate to alternates without being too distracted. So yeah.
Summary: I've owned TomTom's for years. At first I was hesitant about the traffic needing your data from the phone, but found it uses so little that it's a moot point. The logic is great, it finds routes quickly, re-routes nicely when traffic jams are on your route, and you can ask for alternate routes and...
Summary: I've used (another brand) for 5 years or more. I will not miss the angry tone saying "recalculating" In addition, the other ran out of memory, even with an SD chip, so it couldn't be updated any more. Tom Tom with 5 inch screen is very clear and easy to read.
Summary: Tom Tom 500 Versus Florida, I got this G.P.S last week. I notice during daylight hours here in Tampa, You can only see the arrow not the roads or info in the back ground. I checked my settings the brightness was all the way up. I drove a couple of days learning how it worked and its features.
Summary: I like the design and the easy-to-use interface. On the other side, the indications are not ever clear to me respect to a Garmin GPS I used some month ago during car rental. Worst, I agreed to use my phone to receive the traffic information, but the coupling is not seamless.
Summary: I have a very mixed view of my new Tom-Tom GO500. I also own a Tom-Tom EASE and have been extremely happy with it, and that is why I bought another Tom-Tom. At the beginning, I had serious problems downloading and transferring the database to my PC and to my unit.
