Summary: I purchased because the price was better on re-built than new. I hope to ask for directions less. The touch screen is easy to use and the voice is pleasant. I would like unit a little more if more voice choices were preprogrammed. The rest of unit is very user friendly.
Summary: Works ok but laks a lot of cities that I visit in NY and you can't get any more detailed maps from TomTom for the GO300. It did'nt even list the city my cabin was in told me I was in a town 20 miles away.
Summary: When I decided not to shell out the $2K+ the manufacturer wanted for a built-in nav system, I started looking at the protable models. Although TomTom isn't glamorous, is has certainly been serviceable, and I can't believe the great price! The unit is a little hard to operate. Although it does store information such as addresses, you have to go back to the beginning of the menu to get to it. It has gotten me to where I'm going quickly and easily on many ocassions!
