Summary: I really like the GPS unit; however I did have problems with the updating software. The Tom Tom staff responded quickly responded to my questions and made changes to their software. Everything seems to be working fine.
Summary: I reallly like how this has the on-line type search function for plaxws of interest. It is easy to find whatever you want wherever you are. The lifetime map updates are a great value, I got a great deal and I am very happy with it.
Summary: I was very leery on purchasing this unit based on the reviews. However, I have an older TomTom and it was great. Never a problem. The first month I had this device, I ran into the know bug of the voice commands not working. I was able to resolve it by doing a soft reset.
Summary: In July, 2012 I purchased a TOMTOM 2535M GoLive. By October, this GPS no longer worked properly, and the handsfree phone service did not work at all. I called the customer service number and after much delay was sent a return label. I returned the GPS and three weeks later, I have received nothing.
Summary: Six months out of warranty the device developed a software bug and keeps rebooting. I assume the bug was in one of the updates. None of the fixes on the TomTom web page can be used to solve the problem as none of my computers recognize the device. I now have an expensive paperweight.
Summary: I have to agree with the reviewers that found the product to be flawed to the point it was nearly useless. I have these points to add. The touch screen is very slow to respond. I reset to factory defaults and reloaded maps.
Summary: I bought this GPS unit specifically for the Live traffic updates. After two very lengthy telephone conversations, I was told that there is a technical problem with that feature. I was told that there is no ETA on repairing the problem.
Summary: I recently purchased the new Tom Tom 2535TM and after loading all the new software (which was very easy to do) and using it on several trips; I can tell you that this is the best Tom Tom I have owned and I have owned several to include the Via 1505 (which I still own).

Summary: Live services (mainly the traffic I was interested in) worked pretty good for the free year. Then after I paid $60 to renew my Live Services my device would fail to connect. Now after about a month of back and forth with TomTom customer support it still doesn't work.
