Great user friendly GPS, very frustrating software/updates

Summary: My experience with GPS units has primarily been with Garmins. I have an older 60cs, that I still use and love for my various adventures, and I have a newer 2360lmt. Overall, my experiences show that TomTom and Garmin give pretty equivalent directions and maps.
Summary: Looked at a lot of reviews before purchasing this TomTom. Waited several months because of all the glitches people said they were having finally ordered. Updated without no problems, made several short trips and one long trip a week long hunting trip to Texas with no issues.
Summary: DO NOT BUY A GO 2535 TM! I recieved it and downloaded the software which took 5 hours. After that the Voice Command did not work saying "Voice Command is not avaiable in your country". I am in the US and downloaded the US maps.
Summary: Purchased in April 2011. For the most part, the routing has been very good. Very good in congested areas and on cross country trips. On two occasions, in rural areas, it did miss the destination by over two miles, but I always carry old fashion paper maps for backup. In July, the battery failed.
Summary: The Tom Tom GO 2535 M is the best Auto GPS i have ever seen. It has kept me out of traffic jams and is a pleasureable driving companion on trips. I have a built in GPS in my 2007 Toyota Pick-up and also my 2010 Honda Insight.
Summary: I received the Tomtom 2535TM World Traveler yesterday evening with eager anticipation as I own an older Tomtom GO930 and one of the less expensive XL models, not to mention an older Garmin, my first GPS. I was looking forward to all the new features plus the old features I am used to on my 930.
Summary: I'm not one to take the time to write a review, but I feel like I need to explain what I went through to find the right GPS for me. I hope someone else can benefit from the time I spent searching and testing different GPS units. My GPS quest started out when my wife asked me to buy her a good GPS.
Summary: I bought the GO 2535M Live! for the traffic feature. It is excellent, much more accurate than the competitive GPS that I've been using. There is a learning curve when changing over to another system, but I'm getting up to speed.
Summary: My THIRD 2535 is on its way via RMA. The first two both experienced a battery failure. When there's a battery failure, the unit will not turn on unless connected to an alternative power source...and then it does a complete reboot before functioning (a process that takes several minutes).
Breaks every three months, worthless customer service

Summary: After having just gotten off of another round of long and frustrating phone calls with TomTom's "customer service", I'm giving this product the one star review it deserves. All of its features are absolutely inconsequential when it breaks every two and a half months.
