Summary: I received the Tomtom 2535TM World Traveler yesterday evening with eager anticipation as I own an older Tomtom GO930 and one of the less expensive XL models, not to mention an older Garmin, my first GPS. I was looking forward to all the new features plus the old features I am used to on my 930. First, after plugging this unit into my computer I downloaded the most current version of Tomtom Home. The unit connected and started a lengthy update download.
Summary: I'm not one to take the time to write a review, but I feel like I need to explain what I went through to find the right GPS for me. I hope someone else can benefit from the time I spent searching and testing different GPS units. My GPS quest started out when my wife asked me to buy her a good GPS. I replied to my wife, "But honey, your phone already has a GPS! See?!??!!!" and I showed her Google maps navigation on her Android phone.
Summary: I bought the GO 2535M Live! for the traffic feature. It is excellent, much more accurate than the competitive GPS that I've been using. There is a learning curve when changing over to another system, but I'm getting up to speed. There are differences, but once you figure them out I haven't found a better GPS than the GO 2535M Live! I also like the "MyTomTom" feature, that sends you any updated files to you whenever you plug your TT into your PC (I'm on Mac).
Summary: My THIRD 2535 is on its way via RMA. The first two both experienced a battery failure. When there's a battery failure, the unit will not turn on unless connected to an alternative power source...and then it does a complete reboot before functioning (a process that takes several minutes). Either the car charger does a lousy job of charging the internal battery OR the batteries are defective to begin with. This is my 3rd Tomtom (previously had XL and XXL..
Breaks every three months, worthless customer service
Julia A. Lichty "ghostfire", Amazon

Summary: After having just gotten off of another round of long and frustrating phone calls with TomTom's "customer service", I'm giving this product the one star review it deserves. All of its features are absolutely inconsequential when it breaks every two and a half months. As some other reviewers have mentioned, this GPS seems to have a substantial battery problem, and just two days ago I RMA'ed the unit that was itself an RMA replacement.
very bad customer service and missleding product definition

Summary: I have purchased the product from Amazon The main reasons i purchased the product 1. World maps for Europe and us with lifetime update 2. Integrated Bluetooth 3. Map updates service 4. Customer service The product failed on all counts 1. Customer service was very unprofessional and armature They did not know the product and all they wanted to do is "sale" you more maps you paid for to begin with 2. The update service failed several times and never completed 3.
Summary: Purchased the 2535 TM and were very excited about the features, still are. The one feature we were not excited about what the delete map function or Tom Tom Support (or lack of same). We purchased our Tom Tom to take on vacation in the UK. The first day we got it out to use we drove for about 90 minutes and stopped for breakfast. We disconnected the Tom Tom and set it in the console (out of view to eliminate the temptation for anyone to steal it).
Summary: The capacity for storage maps is great to install all maps (US and Europe). Nice large screen. If you have multiple Tomtom GPS devices, a new application "My TomTom" have to be downloaded and install on your computer or laptop. TomTom Home application will not work with this device "GO 2535 TM WTE".
Summary: I'm going to keep this short and concise as I'd hate to waste any more of my time on this GPS. In a nutshell, the 2535 in my opinion is a mediocre GPS device filled with many issues. I live in PA and commute to NYC. I am very familiar with NYC streets and the ebb and flow of traffic. However, I wanted a device that could help keep my commute as smooth as possible and ended up buying the 2535 based on what I'd read about TomTom's new HD Traffic service.
Summary: This review is from: TomTom GO 2535TM World Traveler 5-Inch Portable Bluetooth GPS Navigator with Lifetime Traffic & Maps (Electronics) It's potential is extraordinary, but I've already returned two of them, so we're still not up and running, and I've spent 10-12 hours on the phone with support, and much more time trying on my own. I gave this 3 stars as a compromise since it's a 5 star product, but I haven't gotten it to fully work yet.
