Summary: I would avoid this unit. Internal battery has stopped working, so unit stopped working, no help from TomTom except a cold apology and an offer to buy a new one at 20% discount. I've only owned it for 16 months and it's now a paper weight!! Spoke with TomTom customer service who put me on hold so I could talk to a manager.....25 minutes later, with NOBODY ever coming back on the line, I finally hung up. I will not buy from this company again!
Summary: 10 HOURS OF FRUSTRATION TRYING TO DO UPDATES WITH INTERNET EXPLORER, GOT TO THE POINT OF REQUESTING AN RMA!!!! This is a good unit and has a lot of features but I had a lot of problems updating this unit till the CSR at support told me that there are conflicts with IE9, 10 and 11 and to use Google chrome as the preferred browser for doing updates.
Summary: I drive a truck over the road and have yet to find a "truck specific" GPS unit that I can live with. I replaced my old TomTom GO 720 when it finally died after nearly four years of heavy use. I was dreading the task of having to find a replacement because of all the negative online reviews and hearsay from other truck drivers. Since I had great luck with my old 720 I decided that I would give the GO 2535 a try.

Summary: The brightness of travel is best appreciated with A Tom Tom Go 2535TM GPS Navigator secured on the dash. Wrong turns are limited. Confidence begins after a few miles of travel. Some drivers talk to the recorded unit. Lori and I don't always agree, but she ends up winning. Having a good GPS unit enables drivers to be prepared for what is ahead. My wife and I have welcomed the voice of the Tom Tom 2535TM GPS alerting us to a turn or traffic change.
Summary: I had the 920 prior to purchasing this one, but when I tried to buy lifetime maps I found out the 920 doesn't offer this feature.....so I upgraded as it was more cost effective. I travel more in my job and even when I have a rental that has a navigator I still take this with me....life time maps and lifetime traffic is great! Most rentals don't stay up with the maps and don't have traffic notification.
Great but has an inhearent connection issue Tom Tom has not addressed

Summary: I bought the Tom Tom about a year and 10 months ago. Loved the unit and raved about it until I could not longer connect it to my computer. Apparently Tom Tom go has a very sensitive connection adapter internal on the unit. They tried replacing the cable which helps most people. This did not help my issue. I have tried multiple computers and multiple uninstall and reinstall. The warranty is 1 year, which is crap and does nothing more than get you through a DOA unit.
Summary: Bought this devise a year ago. Had trouble on Day 1. 1) Could not be activated. This problem was solved by contacting TomTom, but wasted lots of my time. 2) No Live service. Was told live service is good only in USA, but when in USA, the device still fails to have a live service. 3) Now, cannot even connect it to computer. Spent days on it, tried four computers. No solution. That means the map cannot be updated. Hate this device.
Summary: I bought this TomTom for use in Italy and turned it on for the first time in a remote village in tuscany. It found my location immediately and navigated me back home. the display is great, the accuracy of roads is wonderful and the audio is clear and loud. I have absolutely no regrets about spending the extra for this model. the large screen is easy to read and i love the magnetic attachment for the power supply.
Summary: The TomTom Go 2535 seems to have a critical flaw in it. The charging system is not powerful enough to keep the device charged while it is in use. It has repeatedly died on me during long trips despite being connected to power. Additionally, I have had to RMA the device twice now because the battery has failed to keep a charge and refuses to accept a charge. In the past we have had great success with TomTom products, but this one seems to be flawed.
Summary: I wanted to get a standalone GPS, instead of having to use my smartphone. I didn't like docking my phone and setting up navigation every time I went somewhere. I also wanted it to do traffic well, and with lifetime traffic, the specs of this unit looked great. For a device that has only one job to do, I expect it to excel in that job, especially with today's competition in electronic devices. Unfortunately I have to say this device falls short.
