Summary: Pros: Works really good for most parts. Easy and fast to navigate. I like the voice navigation and the Bluetooth. Traffic works great. Cons: The application that use TomTom is horrible almost impossible to update anything. I managed to update the navigator only once.
Summary: I really like this GPS. I have owned a few GPS (Tom Tom, Magellan, Garmin). This one is the best so far. Things I like: - The screen is HD and very clean. - The touch screen is very responsive (not iphone quality but very nice).
Summary: Nice size, touch screen, lifetime maps and traffic info, USB (cable) and Car chargers, good car "cradle". The only complain is that when you connect the car charger and turn it on, you must reset it to function properly.
Summary: I have only had this unit for a couple of days. Here are some issues I ran into: - Speed limits displayed were lower than actual, both on streets and highways. - I downloaded and installed MyTomTom to update my maps but nothing happened. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Still nothing.
Summary: I recently bought a new car and was looking for an upgrade to both GPS and provide bluetooth connectivity to my phone. I live in a state that prohibits use of a cell phone in the car while driving unless its hands-free. I debated between an aftermarket stereo with those features or a standalone GPS.
Summary: I thought it was unconscionable that TomTom doesn't publish anywhere (website, manual) the available Voice Commands for the 2405 / 2405TM. Customer service was no help, so I'm posting the list for all who are interested.
Summary: I used to have go live 740.. there are only few minor changes.. It doesnt have live updates. It automatically shut down often... The charging cable should be plugged in charger as to get the traffic update. No updates are available..
Summary: I have owned this unit for a month (since 11/23/2010) & have driven it about 4000 miles. Overall, this unit has been worth every penny. I would have spent more just for the first 5 features I mention below. The good (descending from most important for me): *Lifetime Traffic & Maps.
