Conclusion: TomTom ups the ante with the Go 2405 TM, the company's latest high-end GPS—its glass capacitive touch screen, ad-free traffic reporting, and slick magnetized mounts are big pluses, even if it's not quite as capable as the competing Garmin 3790T overall.
Pros: Bright, glass capacitive touch screen. Attractive, detailed map graphics. Magnetized mount. Clearest voice prompts we've heard to date. Lifetime traffic reports are free and don't display ads. Very fast route recalculations.
Cons: A little buggy. Screen resolution is the same as older TomTom devices. Not the thinnest GPS around.
