Summary: I bought this to replace my battery dead Tom Tom. It's got a large screen but a small mind. It only had a male and female English voice. Boring and I couldn't find how to add voices. It did not come with any cd or computer software. You have to go on line and hope that it downloads. There was very little information on the SONY site on how to add voices. They will sell you a map update for $100. The volume of the unit is LOW. It is very hard to hear.
Summary: Unit navigates horrible. It wants to route me to the nearest highway no matter what I do. Definately does not take you on the shortest routes. If you plan on seeing the sights this unit may work fine, but for getting from point A to point B fast this unit is not what your looking for. I only gave it two stars because of the craddle. I would not recommend this unit to anyone.
Summary: I got this GPS despite reviews noting that the routing was a bit weird, that it's an end-of-life product and that I would have to buy the proprietary Sony flash card for it. It's got a beautiful screen but I decided to return it for these reasons: 1-the routing is definitely 'unusual'; I've had other GPS's that route about the same to my work; this one took me the really long way around.
Summary: As many have already said, the display is beautiful - and large. The blue tooth worked well and picked up my phone easily, as well as imported the phone book. But the routing was poor and convoluted. It was so lovely to look at, I really wanted to make it work out, but I'm sorry I've had to return it and go with a Garmin.
Summary: The day after I purchased this item, I used it to find my way to a restaurant. Half way towards my destination the directions told me to take rt 202 south, and I did even though it didn't sound right to me. After a couple of minutes on rt 202 south it told me to make a u-turn, and I did. Once I got back to the ramp where I took rt 202 South it told me to make a u-turn again (sounds like an episode of the twillight zone).
Summary: Price tells all. Lots of features missing--ie., ability to choose between shortest or quickest route, ability to update maps as I'm able to successfully find an address only about 65% of the time, no "where am I" option, inability to interface with my computer to preload routes prior to a trip, no zoom feature, and mumerous others.
