Summary: I'm writing this to warn others of the danger of buying a Sony GPS device since they are still available in the market place. I purchased a Sony GPS unit on a Radio Shack closeout about 20 months ago. About a month after the purchase, I realized that many of the maps were out of date.
Should have listened to the salesman and bought a Garmin

Summary: The interface is difficult and not very intuitive to use. Why SONY makes things so complicated is unknown to me. I'm taking it back to Radio Shack and exchanging for a Garmin, I will gladly pay the difference and refurbishing charge.

Summary: It is better for Sony to manufacture electronics and stay away from GPS. I am a Sony Customer but highly disappointed with Sony GPS. I could not find any special feature which would make it better than 90 bucks GPS. Interface not friendly need to go some steps to even find simple search.

Summary: I just bought a refurbished NV-U70 for $129. Out of the box it worked well getting me home from the Sony Outlet store. I did get a message the maps are more than 12 months old but I called Sony and they are sending me the 2008 maps for free!
Summary: I would not recommend this product. After researching GPS systems a couple of years ago, I bought this product over the TomTom. I am disappointed in my decision, however, I purchased from Best Buy and got the Performance Service Plan.
Summary: I have owned the Sony NV-U70 for one year. It took a bit to understand the touch screen interface. Todays problem. The new map update, (CD $99.00) for the US, is supposed to be available in October 2007. However, the new entire US map will not fit the unit, not enough memory space.
Summary: I am very disappointed with my unit, you can't get any software to update the unit. it tells you to go to the sony website and it's not even available. I took this unit on my trip to Vegas and programmed my hotel into the unit, the unit told me that I reached my destination, I was no where near my...
