Summary: After going through 3 of these trying to find one that was correct on every hole on a golf course, i found there were none that were. They were always off from 5 to 15 yds. on some holes. If i could have found just one that worked i would have purchased a new skycaddie but alas, it was not to be and i am moving on to another brand. This was after many contacts on the website and many updates to try to get it right. All failed.
Summary: I have had a Skyaddie for 2 years and have never had any problems with my unit. If I have any questions, I am always able to connect with a customer rep within a very short period od time. I think this is an excellent product and accurate.
Summary: The Skycaddie SG4 (rechargable) is a GPS that for some is a good basic hand held unit. I had found it very useful clear markings and yardages were close to marked courses fairways. The lengtth of charge of unit was also as guide indicated (approx 14hr). For the person who just wants basic yardage and doesn't want to bother with a gaggle of confusing options as some of the more advanced and newer GPS rangefinders it is great.
Summary: Overall works fine. Charging cable a little tricky to hook up at first but after using a few times gets easier. Sometimes has to be reset to get accurate readings. Some come with different software versions. Would give overall rating 5 stars if not for the cable hookup and having to reset unit a few times.
Summary: Bought this unit and it worked exactly two rounds. After months of emails and calls to customer support I realized that I was just out of luck. Bought a Izzo 3000 from Amazon for 75 bucks. All courses are pre-loaded. Never had to hook it up to a computer to download a course. No annual fee for maps and it's been accurate and working great my last 30+ rounds. Don't waste your money on Sky Caddie.
Summary: got a laser rangfinder some times i cant use it easy to use love it like my skycaddie thank you use it all the time even my home course revamped it even more deadly ----------------Lee Edwards 6 hcp
Summary: I bought his item on line and read the reviews of how bad Sky caddie was for their support. The worst support is understating how bad they are. I have now worked with them for 4 hrs this morning and each time i called in i was in queue for no less then 30 minutes each and every time. Never resolved my issue which was that the previous owner lived in Ohio and when i bought my NEW membership they couldnt figure out an easy way to show I live in Florida so i couldnt upload...
Summary: I've heard people complain about the screw on the back & actually registering it, but i've had no problems. Maybe i got lucky with mine, and i bought it used. I'm a basic golfer that just needs to know how far the hole & hazards are. If you want more detailed info & colored satellite looks, this is not for you. My buddy has the golf link on his phone & paid as much as me to download it, as I had to to download courses.
