Very accurate, affordable, gps reciever with easy usage
2 weeks ago
Summary: I bought this GPS-reciever to be able to record my racing with Harrys Lap Timer (android) for motorcycle, I didnt look up much before I bought it other than it was 10hz and very affordable. Today, after using it for 5 times/trackdays, I would buy the qt-1000xt instead and are actually planning to replace it next season. The main reason is that this is a reciever and not a logger, with a qt1000xt logger you can use the data in the qstarz program and analyze it easy.

Summary: I'm using it as my GPS receiver for my Nikon D7000 and it's working fine. The problem is that I can't connect the receiver to my pc to do some configurations. The receiver don't responds to the COM Port and the problem appears to be the Windows Driver. I'm using Windows 7 64bits and I tried 3 diferent pcs (all with Win7 64bits). But the receiver are working fine and now I had geotagged photos.
Summary: Stopped charging. I thought it was the battery but then realized it's the device itself. I now charge the battery on an old nokia phone which uses the same battery and then place it back on the receiver.
Summary: I originally bought this to use with my phone to log autocross runs, and since then I've began using it with my navigation software on my phone. It works great, the refresh rate is perfect for my needs, and it has fantastic battery life.
Summary: Using the Qstarz BT-818XT with a Nikon D3200 and AOKA AK-N90 Bluetooth plug-in receiver. Range is about six feet, pairs almost instantly. Doesn't matter which unit is turned on first. Takes about one minute to lock onto GPS satellites. Once the GPS receiver begins to transmit GPS data to the AK-N90, the info is automatically recorded on the photo EXIF header. Very good unit, easy to recharge with a UPS connection.
Summary: I use a Bluetooth GPS with Microsoft Streets and Trips to call on customers in my territory. I have used the Dual and the Garmen GLO that also utilizes the GLONASS system. Both of these had a tendency to not automatically connect via BT so you would have to do another scan to use them. Not a huge deal but annoying. Also, these could be off by about 10-20 feet causing you to drive by your turn if you weren't paying careful attention.
Summary: This amazing unit comes with pleasing facilities. I mean it is easier to use and handle and can be used totally wire less. I really like this receiver set. . 66-Channel LS20031 GPS Receiver Module is another superb GPS receiver. Select the correct one depending on your project.
Summary: Its darn good and does a great job receiving the signal as far as 30 feet from the sending unit. The LED lights eliminates the guess work on weather or not that it is receiving the signal of the camera or the satellite. I haven't completely used it yet to give it a better description of how it is functioning thus only 4 star for now.
