Useless with the instructions given. Decent watch. Use the 24 h system the alarm has no choice bw AM and PM!

Summary: Unless you already know how to set and use an altimeter, this one will be near impossible to figure out with the instructions given. Says this little PhD and patent attorney who is called "geek guru" lol. I am used to the strange "literal" translation from Asian into English, no surprise there. Taking that into account I still could not make sense of it. Waste of valuable time I could have spent hiking ...
Summary: Watch appears to function correctly, but the instructions were poorly written, confusing and inadequate. I'm still not convinced I've set up the barometer and altimeter correctly. Also,if I read correctly, the altimeter will turn itself off in the accumulation mode if you switch to another mode, like time or compass, and if your difference in altitude is no more than 2.5 meters over five minutes (like at lunch).
Summary: I've been using this watch for the past week or so and I am pleased with it. The barometer seems to be spot on with the weather and my indoor barometer. The weather forecast is accurate after it starts collecting data. The altimeter is pretty good for a barometric altimeter. You have to keep in mind that even the altimeters in aircraft must be adjusted frequently. I just use my cell phones gps every once in a while. The compass is great.
Summary: This watch is fun. I say fun because you can enjoy it more because of the price, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. It works, altimeter, barometer, compass, and thermometer. I like the compass better than my Suunto Observer TT because the compass will stay operational as long as it is being used ( does not cut off after a short period ). The light is great and the watch doesn't weigh a ton. The sensor is under the watch next to your wrist, I have not seen this to be a problem so far.
Summary: The watch does everything as advertised. The large face makes it easy to read all of the different functions. However, the directions on how to use it and set it up properly are very inadequate especially with the batometer and altimeter. In my mind this multifunction watch needs a small book or a web address to get detailed directions not just a fold out pamphlet!
Summary: This thing is huge and stupid looking. DON'T BUY! DON'T BUY! It's overly complicated to set the barometer and to set the compass is frustrating. The directions instruct a person to lay this watch on a flat surface (which is impossible unless you remove the band) and revolve it twice between 30 - 60 seconds which is a headache. Needless to say I still didn't set the compass. When I seen how huge and ugly it was I was going to return it but I though I could deal with it.
Summary: I bought this for my husband who enjoys the great outdoors. We didn't have any problems setting it up, just followed the enclosed instructions. He finds the info to be quite accurate and therefore trustworthy.
