Features

The Pioneer AVIC-Z120BT is a GPS/Navigation device that features an audio user interface revolution with 3D capabilities. It has dynamic shortcuts for all built-in or connected media sources, a display of album art (when applicable), and display of audio track data. The touch slide control allow users to select audio/video source selection, search through news media such as iPod/iPhone content with an ABC Search and dual-speed scroll for List Searches, and features 3D animation. The AVIC-Z120BT also has a customizable home menu allowing users to drag and drop up to 15 function icons into the home page display for one-touch access. Featuring Pioneer’s proprietary MusicSphere technology which allows users to enjoy by creating unique mood-based playlists via iTunes for their iPod, iPod Touch, or iPhone device, it analyzes a music library and create specialized playlists based on various musical attributes such as feeling (bright, energetic, gloomy, relaxing calm), rhythm pattern, Beats Per Minute (BPM), year of the song and/or date added to the device. A DJ Playlist can also be created, as well as a non-stop mix of up to 100 tracks of the selected music types. Other features on the AVIC-Z120BT include navigation capabilities with map database from TeleAtlas® covering the entire United States, Canada, Alaska and Hawaii. This enables users to route to millions of destinations including more than 12 million points of interest (POIs); voice recognition that lets users input destination addresses by voice; ECO Driving function with new features that provide driving status reports and the driver’s impact on the environment with visual images on-screen; AVIC FEEDS®6 PC software which estimates the fuel cost of trip routes as well as the vehicle’s CO2 emissions through detailed Drive Reports; ECO Graph feature which divides the map view screen with a new graph to provide drivers with a visual representation of their environmental impact; Drive Score calculation based on driving efficiency which factors abrupt stops and accelerations and idle time; Bluetooth Hands-Free call capabilities, Bluetooth Audio Streaming (A2DP and AVRCP), USB direct control for iPod/iPhone and USB devices, is XM and Sirius Radio ready, 3 Hi-Volt (4V) RCA preouts for adding on external amplifiers, two-way crossover with separate High and Low Pass settings, four built-in MOSFET 50 W amplifier, DVD/CD Player, Supertuner® IIID analog and digital processing for optimized imaging, less distortion and noise, and broadcast signal reception; AUX input to plug in a portable media device and has a back-up camera.

I will simply go over the points that mattered to me: - sound quality: excellent. Very happy in this regard.     I purchased this unit when AMAZON was doing a 30% off deal ... AMAZING PRICE!!! Anyway, I actually installed it myself in our 4Runner and while it took about 4 hours --- it wasn't that difficult and I've NEVER done a stereo install before in my life. (Amazing what Youtube can show you though) I love the unit --- Works very well ... I would have given it 5 stars (and it still probably deserves that), but I'm mad (more at myself) for not realizing that this unit doesn't... Read more
