Summary: I have owned this deck for 4 years and love the features this deck has to offer. I enjoy using the GPS to find my way, when imputing address's with the touch screen it has some lag. When pairing this deck with a amp and speakers this deck really shines. 5 Volt pre outs make the sound crisp and clear, includes lots of customization for sound tweaking. Change the subwoofer settings, Hertz, Equalizer, Fade, Front/Rear, etc.
Summary: I just wanted to say that I'm in love with my new unit, it's really easy to use and have not had any problems so far. I received my unit in a timely fashion and hardware needed for a complete install.
Summary: Just a couple quick adjustments and your navigation will let you drive and enter directions, and your dvd player can be watched while driving! Very impressed at how easy it was, and with the pictures, even an average joe could do this.
Summary: I have always liked Pioneer products, but I did have problems with my last deck, the Pioneer Deh-9800. I did not find it too user friendly and I have to send it away to be repaired. It then ended up dying on me a week before I traded my truck in for a new one. BUT, the new deck is amazing! It has lots of cool features and sync'n my cell phone was a breeze. Using the Gps is simple. There are lots of neat features on this deck. I would highly recommend it.
Summary: I've been a loyal pioneer nav. owner since the AVIC-D1 came out. Everything that I've ever bought from pioneer has been reliable and well designed. My wife still uses my old AVIC-D2 unit, and it works like a champ. That being said pioneer really under delivered on this one. I wish I could hop on a plane and fly over and slap whoever approved this unit to go to market with all of the issues it has. Pro's Nice set of features. Easy to bypass the safety features.
Summary: This stereo has great features; unfortunately Pioneer disables them while in motion. There is hope, for a small fee there is a guy (mdewo6 is his e-bay name)out there who has the work around and in the end, this stereo sounds great. The start up is still a bit slow but with some special wiring techniques it too can be overcome. The display sometimes moves kinda slow at times but it could be the cold weather now on the touch screen.
