The Pioneer AVIC-X910BT is an in-dash navigation system that combines turn-by-turn navigation, audio and video entertainment and connectivity options including Apple iPod® and iPhone®, Bluetooth® cell phones, MSN® Direct, HD® Radio and SIRIUS XM® Satellite Radio. The device features map database from Tele Atlas® covering the entire United States, Canada, Alaska and Hawaii, with millions of destinations including more than 12 million points-of-interest (POI), and a visual interface that supports Map View Modes that offers various screen views including 3D, 2D North Up and 2D Heading Up map mode; Highway Sign Boards that shows simulated highway signs when a major junction approaches for visual aid while navigating; redesigned Map Interface with on-screen information and larger fonts and more than 1,300 icons are displayed in 3D illustrations, including buildings, historical landmarks, baseball fields, etc., which help the driver to visually identify the area.

The Pioneer AVIC-X910BT is a navigation device that features a built-in MSN® Direct tuner (subscription required) that provides access to updated traffic information for 134 cities across the United States and Canada on the device’s bright 5.8-inch high resolution WVGA touch panel display. This feature also gives users access to weather forecasts, gas prices, movie times, news headlines, local events and stock quotes. The AVIC-X910BT also features voice control for compatible iPods/iPhones and compatible Bluetooth enabled cell phones. Users can use conversational commands to initiate music playback from the iPod/iPhone by artist name, album name, playlist name or music genre and make calls to their contact after pairing a compatible Bluetooth enabled cell phone and using the “phone book transfer” function to transfer a cell phone’s contacts/phone-book into the navigation system. It also features playback of iTunes® AAC/MP3/WMA/WAVE/DivX/MPEG4 files from a CD/DVD/USB device or SD memory card, supports a USB interface for connection to compatible iPod music players, portable media players and USB memory devices, Supertuner IIID AM/FM tuner, three RCA outputs and a built-in 50 Watts X4 high power amplifier. An SD memory card filled with additional Points of Interest information or compressed audio and video files can be slotted into the front panel SD card slot. A mini-jack A/V input on the face of the AVIC-X910BT for connection to other compatible devices. The AVIC-X910BT is also equipped with a back-up camera input that displays images from a separately purchased back-up camera when the vehicle is shifted into reverse that allows users to see behind the vehicle.

    what if my itouch would always work on AVIC-X910BT model. but NOW out of no where it charges the ipod but it wont connect the music. i went into apple and they said maybe its because i need to update my pioneer software? is this true? does my pioneer software need to be updated from time to time?
