Summary: Bought this for my teenage daughter who lives about 60 miles from Kansas City. She uses it on her own to negotiate around the metropolis with no problems. She has used it now for about 8 months.
Summary: Although this is the only GPS I've ever bought, I am quite pleased. The touch screen interface makes searching destinations quick and easy. I've had this GPS for about a year now, and it still works perfectly fine.
Summary: Not worth the money I bought this before I knew that Pioneer only put out one map update in 08. Outdated maps antiquates this item. It is slow to initialize and difficult to operate. The instructions are not very good.
Summary: This unit has multiple gliches and problems that require an immediate downlod of sogtware. The maps are way out of date and it will cost 129.99 to buy the latrest ,ap series which is now 2 years old.
Summary: I have owned this unit for almost a year now and have had nothing but problems. Lots of freezing issues, even after I upgraded the firmware. It's always a question whether it will boot up. And when it does, it takes forever. I have to reset the unit at least once a week.
Summary: Unit does nothing but freeze and need to be restarted. I had to reset the unit out of the box several times. Nothing compared to pioneer S1. I never complain about anything but when something doesn't work you should know. I had several friends that had the pioneer S1 and had no problems.
Summary: I've had my AVIC for about 2-3yrs now. The unit itself is great! DVD/FM/AM/IPOD/NAV build into one unit is great. I have all the extra modules for iPod control and telephone Blue-tooth which all work great.
Summary: Life before the Avic = :) Life After = :( No worries - today is celebration day! I am finally getting this piece of garbage uninstalled. No more driving lost because the navigation quit halfway through my trip, no more listenting to Helen Reddy for hours because the unit locked up when the heavy...
