Summary: GPS navigation system suppose to navigate and position you on the map and/or route giving you maximum information possible about place you're on, surroundings and that information should be updated frequently. All other functions are useful additions, but secondary conveniences.
Summary: Negatives: - Very poor routing software. Takes you off the freeway onto local roads when the freeway would be much, much faster. Doesn't matter whether you have 'fastest route' or 'shortest route' selected. - No turn list.
Summary: This is a very nice unit that works well. It even tracks satellites from the car deck of British Columbia coastal ferries! Having said that, it is a device which will have a short life. It is more than a year overdue for a map upgrade and there is still no sign, I ordered mine months ago.
